A struggling college student by day and stripper by night, Lola Bordenaux is definitely not looking for love, until one day it literally sweeps her off her feet...and into the nearest Emergency Room. It's impossible to resist the unconditional love and unbelievably hot sex offered by her former professor, Peter Koss. Intrigued by the possibilities prese

I don't eat bread anymore but we all know this phenomenon: visualize the last slice of bread, the end Caribbean people call it. Now recollect taking that end slice and putting it in the toaster. Now remember that time you left that end slice, that already doesn't have much in it, in the toaster too long while you got ready. Hereupon, you pull out the blackened and hardened slice and attempt to spread butter on it. But there's no moisture in that hard, crunchy slice to absorb the butt

I liked this book...but this author has done better...much much better.

I really liked the characters and the plot line. Without giving anything away, Lola is a stripper who literally bumps into her old professor which triggers a steaming hot romance.

*Warning - Spoilers ahead*

A few things irked me, not in a major way but still... First, I understand that Koss is a genius but to be a graduate professor at 24? Farfetched. If the age gap between Lola and Koss was slightly larger, it'd be more believable. With Lola's character, it would seem more befitting that she didn

Lola is a student with big dreams by day and a stripper by night. She has come through the foster care system, with demons and scars she is trying to live with. Koss is the child prodigy now Lola's professor. One night at the strip club will change both of their lives forever. Try A Little Tenderness takes a look at two people, who missed what we would call normal childhoods. On their journey to love Lola and Koss must navigate a new way of being. Each doing things with only the other in mind, y ...more
I read this book because this author wrote my 2nd favorite book this year "Rock Star". This book was definitely not as good as "Rock Star" but I liked it. I thought Dr. Koss was great and Lola was a lot of fun. I just feel like the ending was a little rushed because they were in an Amazon like war zone being held hostage by guerrillas and war lords and of course eventually made it home safe with a few scrapes and bruises.

I did like the relationship between Lola and Ginger in the beginning, I th
Struggling with this book, don't know why considering majority of reviews have been average to above average.

I know I've nearly finished it and usually I'll read a book till the end especially if I've paid for it but I'm having an uphill battle at the moment.

Really want to give it a 2.5 but since it's not available 3 will have to do.

Failed to keep my interest.

I am new to Ms Holcomb's books, but this won't be my last book. I enjoyed this story.
It had romance, adventure and was a definite page turner. Koss was a geeky tough guy and Lola was a girl from the wrong side of the tracks, but they were made for each other.
It is definitely worth reading.

A bit too long. Went off the rails in Ile de Lina. Could have ended before that fiasco.

I learned that a romance novel can include love, intimacy, and action/adventure in order to be a "good read". :)
