When I was child, I was sort of disappointed with the endings of fairytales. But I got my answer and yes I liked it. Sleeping Beauty ends with kiss, right? Prince reached the tower and kissed the sleeping virgin to wake her up. This is considered as highly non practical. See you got nearly killed during the journey, you were thirsty and hungry not mention horny. The first logical choice was to satisfy at least one of those craving and the third seems as the most logical thing to do. The prince ...more

This book is the second in a three book series written by Anne Rice (Pen name - A. N. Roquelaure). Beauty is awakened by the Prince in book one and taken to his kingdom to be educated in the ways of the court BDSM style. The books are about breaking down the barriers of the mind and submitting your will to another's. They explore rebellion and submission and just when you think the castle is unforgiving, Beauty defies authority and is sent to the village as punishm...more

First Book: Fun and novel read. Interesting background and lots of creative naughty bits for fun.
Second book: Lost steam. She lost most of the background and plot and even though there was a variety of positions and objects -- she recycled quite a bit of the sex scenes.
Third book: I've NEVER read an erotica book that I considered flat out BORING until I read this book. I skipped what little bit of the plot was there. I believe she used MAD LIBS to write out the sex scenes. They seeme...more

This is my favorite book in the trilogy. This book is beautifully erotic, not at all trashy, much like the first. Tristan, who was introduced at the end of book one, comes back to us, and Rice begins to give him his own chapters, allowing us into his mind over and over again. Tristan is a beautifully almost naive, yet strong man. He falls in love with his master and its the most amazing relationship. I loved this book.

I had bought this book being a fan of Anne Rice and I was in for a surprise..LOL Twisted,S&M and many other situations that may not even have names or maybe I have a lack of that particular knowledge. I thought it was an invigorating read
not something in the subject matter that I would normally pick up , yet I blew through all three books in apprx. a mounth and a half. All I can say is INTERESTING.

I read this book while on a plane to Florida and I found that I hid the cover because I didn't want others to see what I was reading.
The great thing about this entire trilogy is you gather ideas about what you may want to add to your own sexual menu, or at the very least, start fantasizing about pouncing on your partner.

Alright, I admit it. I got into these by the third book. But I definitely had issues throughout the first two. Good for a trashy night's read, but for sure made me examine things that I was uncomfortable at first thinking about. I don't know; I'm weird about stuff like this.

I wanted to know what happens to Beauty after the first book. This one didn't keep my attention as much as the first. The change of scene from the castle was nice. However, by the end and into the third book, the events became too repetitive.

The Sleeping Beauty series was my first and only taste in erotic literature. While I don't have any interest in the genre, these books were very well written, proving that Anne Rice is one of the most talented contemporary writers out there.

I was given all three books in a set as a gift, (tells you something about the people I hang out with). I enjoyed the first, but this one really loses steam. When you're reading a sex fantasy, you definitely should not be bored, but I was.

I may have liked this better is I hadnt just read the first one, and felt that this was just a rehashing with a minor change in scenery... If you read the first one and dont have attention deficit, save your time and pick up something else.

I liked this book better than the first one actually... I liked hearing Tristans story and having some other characters as well. It is a total erotica book no question, but I still couldn't put it down.

The secondary portion of the triology did not grabbed me as much as the first and the last. The story started with other royal memebers and their tortures. I liked it.

is this the one with the bridle path? the wrestling? the statue? The Roquelaire books run together in my memory...so dirty and beautiful all at once.

Again, I am reading this out of curiosity! I just can't figure out the moral of the story from the first book. And I had to find out what happened next...

um, well, this is totally hilarious pseudo-historic erotica by Anne Rice - even she was embarassed by it and wrote under a nomme de plume. Kinky stuff.

Of this erotic trilogy, this is my favorite. If you haven't read this series and you're even remotely curious about role play, you HAVE to.
