I absolutely love this book! It is one of my favorite coffee table books that I keep displayed around the house. The book is big and the pictures inside are even bigger. The people that put this book together did a wonderful and amazingly comprehensive job at doing so.

The book is so good that my kids ask me to read it to them instead of their children's books at night, which I think is pretty cool that they are interested in things like science and space and how much they retain just from going

This is a big book of knowledge. This book gives you almost every single detail about the universe. The only thing is that this book is very difficult to understand. I understand it but I would not recommend this as your first space book. I like the fact that this book has a lot of visuals this really helps visual learners learn the information better than reading a book with words. I am a visual learner so this book is perfect for me but it may not be good for someone else if they don't like pi ...more

To say I love this book is an understatement. For months, it lived on our kitchen table. I flipped through different sections over cereal and coffee nearly every morning for months on end. I'd come back from walking the dog and flip through the constellations, to learn more about what I saw and what I could look for during the next night's walk. It's so well-organized with great illustrations and images. A great book for the amateur space junkie.

I bought this book for less than $15, and was so excited it had as many illustrations and sections as many books that were $50 or more. I loved that it showed specific bodies with in the constellations. The explanations were simple yet intelligent. An excellent book for people who are interested in outer space but don't have specialized knowledge in the subject.

I enjoyed this book a lot because the book was filled with only facts. Much of the vocabulary was hard to understand because I am not a scientist. However, I was able to understand more about our universe and what surrounds planet Earth

Another one for the "cool coffee table book" pile, the photography in this is mind blowing and the scientific explanations are light on jargon.

This is a really exceptional book. Great photos and illustrations that help to give us an idea where our planet is, our sun, our galaxy, etc. Great visual aide for astronomy.

Great photos. Lots of data. Should catch students' eyes, and they will look through it, even if they don't read it.
