I picked up this book because it takes place in Chicago (well, some of it). A cab ride throws a disabled, retired detective into an incredible situation involving cargo ships built to be bombs more powerful than the one dropped onto Hiroshima. There's a white disabled cop who was forced to retire because of a shooting. His partner and best friend is black. There are terrorist ships built in Iraq.
