Length restrictions really kill books like this. There were a couple of interesting plot lines and really good scenes in each, but nothing was delved into because everything had to be wrapped up in under 250 pages apparently. Quinn is a recovering alcoholic who now has custody of his 10yo daughter, Rosie, and is trying to pull his life together. While this book, was an o.k. read, it really didn't have anything special about it. The writing was bland. The storyline was a pretty good idea, but wasn't really brought to life. If you are wanting a quick, mindless read, I guess this book could suffice. "A Small Town Homecoming" is about an architect, Tess, who is overseeing the construction of a new building on the oceanfront.
