I was at once swept away with Molly, the beautiful redhead with a taste for adventure. I turned the pages and sat faithfully by waiting for Molly to be rescued from her dull and boring life, having been all but sold off to a foppish man rumored to have killed his last wife. Then Dick Prentiss whisked into her world, dazzled her with the promise of adventure, and together they set sail on a privateering adventure the likes of which I never could have dreamed, but was oh so glad to have enjoyed th ...more

This was my first book by this author. It was soo good, basically and adventure. It was freaking amazing and the adventure and roller coaster. I had to get out of the mind set where things are the same.
First and foremost the story line and plot was flawless. I especially enjoyed the way the perspectives changed and we were able to see and therefore understand the things happeneing outside of the main charcters. Prentiss and Molly's love was the best part because they grew to love each other and
Maggie Secara's "Molly September" is rich in historical detail, extraordinarily well-researched ... and downright brilliant.

The title character is the well-to-do daughter of the late privateer, Rafe September, reputed to be one of the finest ship's pilots ever known in Port Royal and its environs. Molly chafes under the mores of Restoration-era life, with conservative relatives as guardians -- who plan to marry her off to a thoroughly unpleasant gentleman.

When Molly meets Dick Prentiss, the now-

One of the few female characters I have found who is entirely her own person.. and a fun and believable one at that. This is a rollickign pirate tale with wonderfully fresh love scenes and some real jewels in the writing.

I was given this book for an honest review.

I'm going to get straight to the point with this one. If you like swashbuckling adventure set on the high seas, packed with action and topped off with a healthy dash of romance then this is the book for you.

Molly September, whose late mother was a Lady and father was Rafe September rumored to be Pirate and thief, is home from where she was schooling in France. Her aunt and uncle are trying to organize her fortune and future husband but Molly is having n

It's a good thing I got this book for free through Goodreads First Reads because I would be upset if I actually spent money on it. I guess this genre just isn't my cup of tea. The language was too rough, and the plot was lacking substance. I actually couldn't finish it.
