I don't think that the recipes in this book were tested. They are not specific enough about ingredients, do not provide cooking times or the cooking times are off, and provide insufficient instruction. In a few of the dozen that I tried, the seasoning amounts particularly the recommended amount of salt, have to be off.

Much of the food is delicious, but if you have never made risotto before, you will have to check her website for detailed cooking instructions because they are not in the book. Th

I love Mary Ann! I watch her show on PBS all the time. She explains stuff really well, always seems down=to=earth with her readers. I haven't made anything yet, b/c I like to read the book start to finish before I start cooking anything. This is a really good book and has colored pictures!
