We call Ryan Ridge’s Ox a collection of poetry, but it’s probably unlike any book of poetry you’ve read before. The poems contained within are often clever and lighthearted, but when taken in congress, something begins to emerge: a character and a life – the life of Ox, a life that must be experienced.

While wandering the aisles at AWP, I found this attractive little poetry tome. On opening it, I laughed. Then I couldn't walk away without buying it. Then I couldn't help sharing it and texting pictures of poems to friends for the rest of the weekend.

What a beautifully crafted and super clever book. A quick but punchy read that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Elegant tiny hardback in box. "Tiny" poems, almost but not quite concrete, about Ox.
