Another interesting geographical summary. I learned that Chad not only had a difficult history of slave raiding, colonization, and unstable dictator-coup-dictator cycling government thereafter, but it has also been involved with wars with its neighbors for the past few decades. Had an interesting summary of Chad's kingdoms pre-colonization, with the main takeaway that of course arbitrarily-drawn borders are not going to create a cohesive national identity; they never have before.

Fascinating edition of the visual geography series on the Central African nation of Chad, a large and rather obscure country with fantastic natural settings and a long and difficult political history. Features include segments of Chad's history, its topography, culture and cities, etc.
