A story of the reality of life as a serf in the 11th Century. The Inquisitor's persecution of anyone who dared to learn or think... everything was considered the work of Satan back then, even just cleaning yourself or, God forbid, learning to read!

Thankfully humanity has come a long way since then, but we still have so much further to go! This book is a testament to the horrors of the Inquisition, and it brought tears to my eyes!
