Dammit, just how many toes was she going to have to stomp on before people realized she was a Delicate Freakn' Flower?

Naomi doesn't want to follow tradition and settle down with a violence-loving, chest thumping shapeshifter. She grew up in a household with five, testosterone laden brothers, where none of the dishes matched, the ugly-as-sin furniture could withstand any ca

Is the spelling of Freakn' an American thing? Did everyone just wake up one morning and decide that they'd forgotten how contractions worked? Legit question. Is this some localized version of it as opposed to Freakin'?

My partner actually really liked this book. I must admit there was a lot less to complain about than I thought there would be. The main character was all aggression and sass. Instead of treating her bitchiness as a problem to be cured, people in the book embraced it and saw it as a...more

Absolutely Loved this adorable, funny, hot as sin book!!

Ethan, the adorable were-bear

ethan

Ethan and Javier are shifters and best friends. Their friendship goes back eleven years to when they started playing lacrosse together in college. Now they are highly sought after professional lacrosse players.

Ethan is the quiet, gentle giant, kodiak bear. He does hope to fall in love some day. Unfortunately for Ethan, a lacrosse pass he failed to catch has just knocked a woman in the stands unconscious. Fate ha...more

This Delicate Freakin’ Flower, gets not only one shifter but two and one of them the bear, let me tell you he is packing something huge. LOL. Oh my, this story takes you down Naomi’s path of wanting a non-chaos world. She want to mate with a human, so when she finds her shifter mate by surprise it freaks her out. Then she finds she has not only one but two shifter mates, well needless to say she leads these two hot shape shifters down a wicked path because she wants no part of it. The thing she...more

I blame this book for my last sleepless night. I had too much fun reading it. Of course, I knew what would happen but I enjoyed seeing how mean Naomi, the main character, could be to practically everyone around her. She was incredibly blunt and at times cruel but it was so hilarious. Naomi is my hero! The entire thing had me snickering and laughing aloud much more than is common for these types of books.

I had been meaning to read something by Langlais for awhile since she kept popping up on my...more

Holy hotness!! You may want to read this with a fan on you or have your husband close by.lol. As with every book I have read from Eve you get a spunky girl, hot men, fun, adventure and some great ol' sex!!

I really enjoyed this book and not only for the sexy scenes. You get 2 shape-shifters both destined for one feisty wolf. Most wolves would love to find their soulmate but not her. She tries to fight it and the men try to prove that she needs them. We get a lot of built up sexual tension. But t...more

I read my first book by Langlais, Wickedest Witch, last month and thought it was a pretty decent paranormal erotic romance. So when I had the opportunity to get my hands on another one of her books I was like, hell yeah! Delicate Freakn' Flower follows Naomi, a self-proclaimed delicate flower. Even though she herself is a shifter, she doesn’t want one for a mate. She wants a normal, intelligent and rich pacifist human for a husband. But fate tells her wants to kick rocks when it gives her not on...more

I loved this book! I'm not an Eve Langlais newbie, so I'm not sure what took me so long to get into this Freakn' series. *head desk*

Wolf shifter Naomi grew up in a house where they had no "nice things" because her five brothers and father were brawlers and broke everything. When she escaped the house and got her own place, she refused to let anyone into her life that would break her stuff, so she decided to settle on a nice, normal - non brawling - human to mate with. Fate, as usual in PNR books...more

This was one great, funny, raunchy, must read book. Even if you are squeamish about the whole menage factor, don't be. This is the book to get your feet wet with, try it and you'll be an addict. For full review go to http://www.yougottareadreviews.blogsp...

Not sure what possessed her, Naomi agrees to go to a lacrosse event with her best friend A wolf shifter, Naomi is used to violence, but she abhors it. Naomi sees herself as a delicate flower, that is why she is determined to marry a human and not mate a shifter.

Bear Shifter Ethan, knows Naomi is his mate on sight. He has been wanting to settle down and he knows the mate bond is rare, but his chosen mate's response is less than encouraging. Deciding to buck up and deal with it head on, he and his...more

A nice little novella. It felt complete in itself. Many times stories feel shoe horned into the shorter format. I'd have been happy if it were longer but it didn't need to be. This one was all there. The writing was fresh, amusing and well done. The shifter guys were hot and sweet and there was enough detail to set the world up with out bogging the story done or making you wonder huh? I will definitely try more by this author.

Recommends it for: Fans of Paranormal Romance who love shifter stories with HEAT!
Okay short and sweet to start, this was funny/outrageously sensual/quite honestly a very fun reading experience!

When Delicate Freakn' Flower first came to my attention first thought was that I had to get a copy to read for myself! However being that not only have I bought too many real books as well as digital ones in the past few months kept putting off getting it. Then came the blog blitz giveaways hosted by The Bookish Snob Promotions and the giveaway by Tishia at Paranormal Opinion Blog on...more

Hands down shifters are my favorite Other creatures to read and Eve Langlais writes some of the most hottest domineering shifters I've read.

Delicate Freakn' Flower features the most interesting kind of characters. Naomi who is looking for a quiet man to live a quiet life yet mouthy herself I don't how she desired quiet at all. Naomi's brothers.... who I'm quite eager to get in the middle of. =D Naomi's parents who seem to have a story of their own. Lastly, the lacrosse buddies. Ethan and Javier....more

This book was so stupid. It's about three shifter's: a wolf female, a jaguar male and a bear male. Fate decides they are all to be mated. Naomi, the female, is a brat, always screeching that she's a "delicate freakn' flower". Up to 70% of the book is her horny for the guys, but not giving in to being mated to them, even though everyone who is a shifter knows that fate choose. So she pouts, yells, acts like a child etc etc. Even the sex wasn't that hot. You'd think a three some would illicit some...more

I love Ms. Langlais' humor. And her female characters. They are all kick-ass, take-no-prisoners strong, but melt when the right man comes along. Such was the case with Naomi. She's a wolf shifter, and because of the chaos in which she was raised (her brothers constantly brawl and tear up the house), she wants to marry a human and have a nice, "calm" existence.

But fate has different plans. She goes to a lacrosse game with her best friend (she doesn't like lacrosse), and gets pegged in the face w...more

Holy COW! This book NEEDS to come with a warning label. Oh wait, it does *rereads "this is a hot threesome story..."* Well it needs to include that the sexiness and intensity between Naomi, Ethan and Javier is so HOT that if you're not swooning, you're hosing off the bed sheets! I absolutely loved this book and it's another winner for Eve.

There's a reason why Eve is an author that's an auto buy for me. I don't even have to read the blurb or see the cover to know I'll enjoy every word. That says...more

Naomi wants a calm normal human husband to spend the rest of her life with in a quiet house where she does not have to worry about her precious baubles getting broken. That said she wants to spend her adult life completely opposite of what growing up in her family home full of brawling shifters was like. She wants to be treated like the delicate flower that she sees herself as being. That is so not what Naomi is. She’s tough and can handle herself in any situation. She just doesn’t want chaos i...more

3.5 out of 5 stars

Delicate Freakn' Flower by Eve Langlais is about a young werewolf woman named Naomi who grew up in a household with five older brothers who tended to get scrappy a lot around the house. The violence inherent in the male animal shape-shifters to disclose deep feeling in her childhood home did not lend itself to Martha Stewart type decorating or sensibilities. So her mom had to “make do” to with mismatching dishes and sturdy, well worn furniture.

Naomi is bound and determined to f...more

Here's another first for me .. a story about 3 shifters falling in love.

I was a litter nervous about this book - but since I read some high praised reviews about it - I thought I'd give it a chance.
I'm glad I did - it was really a cute story.

First we meet Naomi - the "Delicate Freakin' Flower" She is a Werewolf shifter - and she's SO TIRED of the violence. Being raised with 5 brothers and a dad who loves to wrestle just as much as the boys do, she is ready to be done with the whole shifter spe...more

Naomi has is determined not have a shifter mate, she already has numerous brothers and a father who like to resolve their differences with their fists. She needs nice normal, albeit slightly boring, human who won't break her furniture and stain the carpet with their blood whenever they get riled up. But fate seems to be against her as the universe has chosen her not one but two mates, Javier a jaguar shifter and Ethan a Kodiak bear. So what if they make her hot with just a look and treat her ge...more

Why do I do this to myself? This was a distinct step-up from the last Freakn' Shifters book I read (Jungle Freakn' Bride) but it still had some rather creepy undertones to it that kept me from fully enjoying the story.

I don't know what it is, specifically, about Langlais's books that brings out the feminist in me. It might be the way that everyone likes to steam roll over the heroine's wishes as if she's a stupid child who doesn't know what's good for her. It might be that the books fail the Bec...more

by Eve Langlais (Goodreads Author)

Synopsis from Goodreads:

"Dammit , just how many toes was she going to have to stomp on before people realized she was a Delicate Freakn’ Flower?

When a book by Eve Langlais starts off with the first line of “He’s a freakn’ beast” you know you are in for one hell of a time. This story was inventive, unique and a LOT of fun to read. Definitely one of those “can’t put it down” books!

We start off with Naomi at a lacrosse game with her friend, Francine (who you see sparingly in this book, but will see much more of in the next book in the series, Jealous and Freakn’). Naomi isn’t the kind of girl who likes these brutal displays of aggression a...more

This was a cute story with a yummy ménage. Naomi is a tough girl who does not want to be one. She insists she is a delicate freakin flower! She has grown up with a loving family of shifters who are constantly fighting and breaking everything. They get a little overly passionate lol! Based on this she believes that she wants a calm life where she can have pretty, fragile things that don't get broken. She assumes this must mean that she needs to date and marry a boring human. Things really shake u...more

A great read. When I read the blurb for this book for some reason I was expecting more tension and action but, do not get me wrong, this book was great. It had me laughing through the night. Naomi is a wolf-shifter who is tired of the violence and chaos that comes with it. So, when she discovers she has found not only one mate but two, she isn't happy. Make matters worse, their rough-housing jocks. Ethan( bear-shifter) and Javier(feline-shifter) have been best friends for a long time and share e...more

An adorable, funny, and entertaining shifter menage. The guys were hot and delicious, hello...lacrosse players! What's not to like about that? Naomi was a snippy beleaguered younger sister who just had too much of BS testosterone and paints all shifters with the same brush. Mistake. Big mistake. Ethan and Javieer are the quiet controlled sort of dominant male, which when you take into consideration their shifted form makes a lot of sense. Well thought out characterizations of all and an interest...more

I love these shifter books!!!

Naomi is a wolf who doesn't want to be mated with another WILD SHIFTER...she's had enough of the rough and tumble life with five shifter brothers!

She's shocked to discover herself drawn to TWO shifters...a Kodiak bear AND a jaguar.

Lots of HEAT here...and some laugh out loud moments, too!

This is a cute and sexy PNR with many different kinds of shifters. In this world, you have the instant mating thing, even if the heroine is fighting it with everything in her. She doesn't like the rough housing that is done by her werewolf brothers. She wants a human husband. When fate sets her up with not one, but two shifter mates, she avoids the situation and insists that she can avoid the mating urge and have he happy life. Oh, and her mats are a were-Kodiak bear and were-jaguar, who are pro...more
