I loved it! It was a quick, fast-paced story that literally left me breathless (in a good way)! Before starting the book, I was very curious as to how the author would be able to introduce and work a decent story with vampires, angels, witches and demons into 210 pages... she DID and did it wonderfully!

I was entertained by the story and I loved the charismatic central characters. Kaia - a witch (clairevoyant), Zane a cowboy who was turned into a vampire in the mid-1800's, and Dominic (oh boy...

I was anxious to get this book since it has an Australian Shepherd in it and supernaturals too! It is a quick read and I didn't do much except read yesterday - finished around midnight. I really liked the heroine, Glory, who rose to the occasion after tragedy and was plunged into a world she didn't know existed. I won't say what supernaturals helped her in her quest to literally save humanity, because part of the fun of reading it was wondering what Dominic really was. There are vampires, witche ...more

To say the least for being a book of only 210 pages Devin has packed this book with so many details that keep you turning page after page until you are finished. The main character Glory is a girl who the whole world depends on for a cure to a plague that has killed her father and is killing others. She is assigned to three very different people to keep her safe and get her to where she needs to be and eventually she develops feelings for two of them. Zane is an amazingly sexy cowboy who just so ...more

There’s a lot of love about Glory – both the character and the novel. You’d think that being young adult fantasy, it would lack some of the depth and darkness that her novels Threshold and Witch hunt delved into - but you would be mistaken. It’s just a bit more subtle. Good vs. evil; hope or hate for humanity; whether a dog can really save the human race – it’s all there.

The characters in Glory are fun, that’s what kept bringing me back to it whenever life forced me to put it down. Each man, wom

This is such an interesting concept. I especially loved the mix of supernatural creatures that join in on the adventure with glory. Witches, vampires, angels, and dogs- oh my!

Glory is such an inherently good girl. She really cares about other people. She is so selfless, and it was really inspiring. This journey could not have been easy on her, but she never wavered- she never had a weak moment. That's what I liked the most about her. The love triangle in the story was just so-so for me. I liked

This is a first! This YA novel is self-published and I actually like it! As a book blogger, I am contacted often by authors who self-publish and want their books reviewed. Honestly, I rarely read them because the writing is so bad I can't finish the book. But O'Branagan's tale about Glory and her other "superhero" protectors was interesting. The book is little and short, but she manages to pack a lot of details in. The book is definitely plot driven, but it works.

A plague has descended on the wo

Glory By Devin O'Branagan
Love, Hate, Life, Death, and Faith, these are words that we all take for granted every day, yet they seem to be what holds the fabric of the universe together. This book is about a young girl who finds that each one of those words are more than just words they are power. When Glory finds out that she is the cure for a deadly plague she is thrown into a world she only thought existed in the movies. With the help of some very unconventional friends she finds herself in a de

I absolutely love this book!

I wasn't sure what to expect, as I haven't read many books with supernatural beings in them, but it was a totally believable story with wonderful characters.

It was so good, I had trouble putting it down until I was finished.

O'Branagan has a lovely writing style that is immensely enjoyable to read.

I highly recommend this book!

Not sure what I excepted but this was better

Glory was a Pandemic novel turned YA paranormal romance with angles, daemons, vampires and witches, evil corporations and a global conspiracy theory.

It was an interesting take and clever mash-up on the plethora of genres and included a peppering of deeper concepts about God and free will, faith, mortality and sacrifice for the greater good. Despite all that is going on in this book, I feel like it didn't over reach. Each character had depth, consistenc

Glory, the main character of the book Glory is a 17 year old. Her father is a painter, mom is a medical researcher. Glory has recently taken up photography and they own a Australian Sheppard named Hallelujiah (Hallie for short).

The book is written in the first person, and starts off with Glory taking care of her father, who has fallen ill with the same illness that has recently become a pandemic Plague, killing thousands (at least) of people. Within the first chapter, Glory becomes ill herself a

Glory's paranormal aspects include most of the usual suspects - vampires, angels, spirits, witches and hunters. These paranormal creatures are put into a storyline with a dystopian undercurrent. While it is its own unique series, it does have some commonalities with a couple other YA series. The series that immediately come to mind are Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires, Cate Tiernan's Sweep and Lisa Desrochers' Personal Demons.

In the synopsis, a mention towards Twilight is made. This referenc

I not usually into vampire books, but because I liked Devin O'Branagan's first book, Witch Hunt, I decided to give this a try. I was so pleasantly surprised. Although labeled a Young Adult book, this older adult enjoyed it immensely.

A paranormal story with a bit of conspiracy theory. "The main character is named Glory, a teen who is just coming into young adulthood, and discovers she has been given the unfortunate mission to save the world. Her blood contains the only antidote to a pandemic tha

In the first page of Glory, we enter into a world full of different creatures and extraordinary communities along with the some unusual companions..

Glory is a teenager girl, unaware to the hidden world, who gets into a difficult situation without realizing. Soon, she finds herself trying to save too many people. She has to take this journey, along with some unfamiliar people, in order to do that. The book is actually a

Re reading Glory again I fell in love with it. I really enjoyed this book. It grabs your attention right from the beginning and takes you on a journey full of heartbreak, tragedy, love and hope. The main Character Glory is on a mission to find the Scientists who are in hiding and her Mother that's been kidnapped by Scorpio Pharmaceuticals International. They are the only ones that can make an antidote for the public from Glory's blood. Glory's Mom has left her with some information to help her get her mission started and it teams her up with ...more

I ended up DNFing this one about half way through. I just could not get into it for some reason. I did not identify with Glory at all. She was a bit immature for me. I also felt super insta-love not once but twice in this one and after that I just gave up. I hate to DNF and this book definitely had a great concept and a cool story line but ultimately it just was not for me! :(

Fast paced and an easy read. It kept my attention to the end. I look forward to reading book 2.

Definitely recommend to teens, young adults or an adult looking to escape for a few hours! Not your typical Vampire / Witch book.
Amy
Good story. Well-written. Characters felt real.

The love triangle felt very insta-lovey and too push-pully.

But other than that, I enjoyed the story.
Claire
Vampires, but not as we usually see them, witches, angels and a young girl, all there to save the world. Oh, and a brave dog. All against a group of scientists intent at destroying billions of men, women and children.
A great story, wonderfully told, unforgettable characters, what more do you want? A sequel, of course!

I read this book so long ago that I don't really remember what it's about. Just that I loved it very much! Must reread, that's for sure. But I know I was obsessed for a while. Must remedy review once reread.
