The book has a particular rhythm that carries the plot in a dream. Slowly as the story progresses you become more involved in the reality of the characters. Did not expect to be grabbed but I was. It is a shame that the book did not do well commercially.
This book is no longer in print, but I really loved it. It is a literary novel with a true voice.
