I don't normally like location books. I'm a little more tolerant of them in fantasy games than I am in modern games, but even so, I usually find them boring and restrictive. The Compass of Terrestrial Direcetions series has been slowly but surely changing my mind, and The West is the best so far. To my surprise, every chapter is full of character, session, and even campaign seeds that are full of possibility. The West has long been my favorite direction, and it just got better.
