Thus, the exposition could probably be done in a better order. Well written and accessible nevertheless, this book is an indispensable resource for anyone hoping to understand how TeX (the program behind LaTeX) works.

One of my favorite tech books ever. The book is like Felini's 8 1/2, an self-referential and multi-readable journey through elegance in typography.
