Hands down, best Disney book I have ever read. Why? Because it doesn't read like a monotone "guide", listing boring facts in a droll manner. Facts that you could find in any other guidebook or on the Internet. This book has first hand accounts of experiences of several self proclaimed "Mousejunkies" as they take vacations to Disney World time and time again. They share their experiences at all different types of resorts from Value to Deluxe, their favorite restaurants and their sometimes hard to ...more

Do you ever have someone say to you, “Are you going to Disney again?” Have you seen the eye rolls as you discuss your vacation or love of Disney parks? Do you feel like no one understands you ad you discuss “ADRs”, “Extra Magic Hours”, or “Fastpass.” Do all of your friends and family believe you have snapped since as a grown adult you talk about wanting to spend more time at the home of a cartoon mouse? Stand tall, you are not alone. And Mousejunkies! is the book that shows you that there are mo ...more

I confess . . . I am a Mousejunkie! Everyone who knows me knows how much I love Walt Disney World and I love books, websites, and podcasts about the resort. This book speaks my language. This is the 2nd edition of the book and well worth reading, even if you have the first edition, as whole sections are new or revised from the first edition. It is a humorous approach to a travel guide. It is not as all-encompassing or just-the-facts driven as Birnbaum's or Unofficial Guide, but it gives a lot of ...more
A easy to read, quick overview of what it takes to plan a trip to Walt Disney World in the current age of MyMagic+, FastPasses+, and Advance Dining Reservations. Less informative than a guide (like Unofficial Guide or Passport series), and lacking the anecdotes that I hoped to encounter, I was disappointed. I think it is a great first or second book for a reader considering a trip to Walt Disney World, but not so much for a Disney-phile hankering for their next dose of Disneyana.

I love this book. I have re-read it 3 times now, each year right before going to Disney World. It has lots of information and it's nice to read a book by other people who "get it", that strong desire to get to Disney, no matter what. Also this book is funny. I laugh out loud a lot when I read it. But mostly I love it because it gets me excited about my trip, I get to reminisce about the things I have done and plan for the things I have yet to do.

This was certainly heftier than the first Mousejunkies book! There was a lot of information that appears in both, but this second book goes far more in depth about the parks and what goodies you can find therein. In fact, I started making a list of things I simply MUST do when I get down there next - such as taste the supposedly amazing carrot cake cookie, go to the Port Orleans Resort for a beignet, and visit some of Disney's best benches (which come highly recommended by the author).

This isn'
Usually I devour Disney guide books. That was not the case here. It was hard to enjoy the book due to the abundance of errors in the text. Frequently a sentence would stop midway, and then repeat again. It felt like the book didn't convert properly when it was made into the Kindle version. A quick read through edit would have easily corrected this issue.

I also felt the content was a bit lacking. If you are a first time visitor trying to play for an upcoming trip, this book is a great resource. H

Easy read, had some useful tips, but I had heard most of them. Liked the fact that it wasn't a normal "guidebook" to the World, author has a good sense of humor and doesn't take himself too seriously

Fun little read! Not only brought back many memories, but teased at the chance to make some new memories someday without kids (like the author's attempt to sample an adult beverage at every nation represented at Epcot...Drink around the World! haha!. Also caused us both to beg the question...are WE Mousejunkies, too? Don't think we are quite as hard core as some of these guys, but.... :)
It's no secret I love all things Disney. I have only been to Disneyland once (last year) and I'm contemplating a trip to Disneyworld. This book was clever, funny and insightful. I couldn't put it down. I'm more stoked than ever to plan a trip and see Disneyland's big brother.

I am glad to know that the Disneyland obsession I have has a title. Consider me the newest apprentice-mousejunkie.

I got this book for Christmas and I spent the day reading it. It has many stories from various 'Mousejunkies' They varied from tips to memories of their visits.
It is such a fun book to read. As someone who is obsessed with Disneyworld-I highly suggest other Mousejunkies read this book. =)

Not the best guidebook about WDW that i've read but it was an easy read and it did have practical advice.
