Yes, Robin Caroll is one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed her Evil Series and her first book in this new series is just awesome!

Oh my goodness, this story just grabs you from the first page and has you on the run with Remington until the end. The prologue alone is enough to pull you in, to draw you to Remington's side, to want to see justice done!

Ms. Caroll does a great job intertwining and weaving character's stories into a complex tapestry of deception and murder. She provides a depth of character and overview of their lives that gives you sufficient insight as to their motivations. Some aspects of the book could be considere...more

What happens when you witness a murder and you can't go to the authorities because the authorities are the ones that committed the murder? Remington is about to find out. She uses her expertise as an FBI psychologist to cover her trail when she runs from the law.

This was such a great story. Generally speaking, the story is about Remington Wyatt who witnesses a murder and goes on the run. She knows a lot about how to get "lost" because of the job she was working in at the time of the murder. Enter FBI agent, Rafe Baxter. I have not read one of this author's books that I did not enjoy, and this one was no exception. A federal judge is murdered by a most unlikely source and the only witness has to go into hiding before she too is killed. She cannot tell what she saw because no one would believe her so she changes her complete appearance and habits and for three years has stayed hidden. After finishing this one, all I can really say is “oh my”, and not in a good way. I had really high hopes for this book, I wanted a fun, light mystery after reading a truly great but heavy novel, and this was just not what I wanted in any way. It started out just fine, but lost me along the way.

I loved this one. I may or may not officially review it. It depends on how much time I have. But just know that this is Christian Romantic suspense at its best. This novel drew me in from the very beginning. This is an author I'll definitely be keeping tabs on.
I even bought this book and would definitely reread it. Easily one of my favorite christian romantic suspense writers right up there with Irene Hannon and Dee Henderson.

I'm excited about this book because I think it is the beginning of a series. It is also the first book I've read by Robin Caroll, so I'm really looking forward to finding more of her books, especially the next one(s) in this series. I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of research done for this book, and also by the enjoyable writing style the author employs. An awesome beginning to the Justice Seekers series in true Robin Caroll style. If you haven't read a Robin Caroll story yet, this is a perfect place to start. No matter who betrays us, God never will, and He always has a plan.
