I'm's a new spin, but as an arachnophobic I don't know if I could handle this :P
Marcia Colette introduces us to an interesting urban fantasy world. At first, I wasn't sure I wanted to read about a "spider person", but Loreal and the arachnid that shares her body make for intriguing protagonists. Their struggles for dominance underlay the book's plot. The auxiliary characters of Shiloh and Dr. Kurtz added depth to the story, and some humor. I also enjoyed the glimpses of Nefar Square, the Inquisitors, and the demon hunters. So many other tales waiting to be told!

All in all,
A woman who works at a shelter for abused women is cursed. She becomes an avenging spider in half her life. Who knew this would be awful?
