Here is some silly chick lit should you need a distraction. I won't remember too much from this book a few days from now but it kept my mind occupied when I needed it most.

One of the reasons I am a fan of the Chick-Lit genre is how the stories resonate with me. The plots, characters, emotions, wit, sarcasm, and the humor are all elements I find so easy to relate to. Fourplay was no exception. This story and the lead character, Jo, drew me in quickly. Anyone who has had a long term relationship end unexpectedly and badly can see themselves in this story. Anyone who has had their trust betrayed by their spouse and has to pick up the shattered pieces of their lives a ...more

I have a book called "Fourplay" as a five star...I'm not sure that makes me look very classy, but for this book I'll do it. I read this my first year of college and loved it so much I read it again about a year ago. Just a good story-a good one if you are looking to relax and get away for a bit.

A very pleasant surprise! I'm a little wary of chick-lit ever since I tried reading Confessions of a Shopaholic (hated it so much I stopped reading after 2 chapters). But this one was a lot of fun, had great dialogue, and made me laugh out loud a lot with all the British quips and sayings. A great rainy day book.

Very similar to a Danielle Steel book, this book was easy to read and for the most part very predictable. As a mom and wife, I could relate in many ways to the main character whose life and role was described in a humorous way.

This is a definate chick lit summer read book.

I read this when me and my boyfriend were breaking up. It really helped me see the bright side of things when I was having a hard time dealing with things. Her brother in the book is awesome too lol

Provides a couple of surprises that are yummy and naughty,

Your typical guilty pleasure read. You know how it'll end when it starts, lots of man bashing, good quality women bonding and a cherry on top ending. Not amazing, but still fun.

I know, I know, it seems like horribly insipid trash. Judge ye not from the title! This little tidbit of chicklit packed quite a punch!

Tambahkan anak-anak d ...more

First of all, a word of explanation. I was at the library, trying in vain to find a book by Christopher Moore, an author I've really been enjoying. The fiction section in the Chicago Public Library is arranged by author's last name, and then by title, which is confusing. I could check out five books, and I had already decided that one of them would be a Christopher Moore novel. At least one would be a Harry Potter book, then a couple more of whatever I wanted. I couldn't find a Christopher Moore ...more

Bagus..

I was going through all of my books and sorting what to take to a used bookstore when I came across this. It was one of those that I had purchased a long time ago and forgotten about. I thought it would end up being really badly written chick lit, but it actually surprised me. No, the writing isn't going to blow you away, but the story is both cute and meaningful--basically, its fluff with a little depth. The story centers around Jo, a 33 year old married woman with 2 children. Jo's husband Jeff ...more

A quick read. Jo Miles' husband left her for his secretary10years younger than her? Divorce him? Good move. Get on with life? Yes, very smart. Have 4 other men interested in you? Hell yes! So which will she choose?

I was glued to the book till the end coz i wanted to know which one too. A great weekend read. Thumbs up!

Recommends it for: chick lit lovers
Quite well written chick lit, and most of my real life girlies know that I'm not a huge fan of the genre. Unique in that genre in that the heroine has children and a hum-drum job. Well paced, well written, and the Britishisms kept me mentally engaged throughout. Main character is believable and lovable even when she totally loses it over her hubby dumping her for a younger model. Heroine's choice of 4 (count 'em, 4) new men in her life rings a little false, but each male character is well fleshe ...more

Better than I thought it would be. Even though I knew what I wanted to happen from about the 3rd chapter-& thought it probably would-it was still good to the very last page.

Oh man, I read this as an intermediary book for when GoT #5 got too intense (and as a palate cleanser once GoT was done), but I actually enjoyed it! Lighthearted and witty British chick lit, always my fave.

I read this book back in 2003 and I remember most of it. I liked how the main character was juggling different men and trying to figure out which one was the best for her and her kids. In the beginning she finds out her husband is cheating and she leaves. Then goes along a journey exploring different aspects of herself as a single woman. The sex scenes are good, the humor is great and by the end of the book you are really rooting for her.

I throughly enjoyed this book, with all the characters in play for the affections of one 33 yr old mother of two. This was an enjoyable chick lit. The relationship that brought it all home for me was the protagonists parents and how they spent their lives in a miserable marriage to have a devastating blow hit them so unexpected to have the realization of all the time spend on a wasted cause.
