Uh, this is a really weird book. It's--okay, the rabbit needs one more egg, so the little chicken, who is too young to lay eggs, runs around to all the barnyard animals trying to find someone who can lay an egg. They wind up in the hen house, where the hens say that the little chicken is old enough to lay eggs; she just has to press down real hard. So she does, and she lays an egg. And, so, basically, this is a book about a chicken's first ovulation.
