"Tanith must choose among the unhappy but familiar world of her clan, a growing fondness for a young warrior of a neighboring tribe, and the lure of the wolf pack. Her story, steeped in prehistoric imagery and legend, is a compelling search for identity and self-worth within a richly drawn setting."--Booklist

Her earliest memories are of the wolves. And of the hunters who k...more

Wolf- woman was howling good. Here let me get it out the way * AWoooooo* cough um yes now where was i. yes this book was great! Yes, I did howl and no I won't do it again…. Not anytime soon anyways. I know you’re thinking Kaila another werewolf one really but nope. This one has a Viking like setting and it involves a slave-like native girl (like Native American). Her people apparently let their children be raised by wolfs. That way the child's soul becomes intertwine with nature the world of an...more

This book… PISSED ME OFF TO NO END!!! Argh! I can’t even BEGIN to tell you how much this book made me angry! It was like getting a pair a’scissors and jabbing them into my eyes whilst dipping my lower body into boiling hot lava, having my skin melt off the bone then having someone stab me multiple times in my torso whilst pouring salt into each cut! Actually, no. IT’S WORSE THAN THAT! But enough about me ranting about how much this book made me angry. Let’s dive straight into the review!

Wolf Woman is a compelling story dealing with different kinds of dramas. Tanith is a kinsfolk with the wolves. She is taken by a tribe which despises her and believes she has mingled with the devil himself. They are brutal and victorious. They kill her only friends, the wolves. They use their skin and eat their flesh, Tanith can do nothing as is alone. When her adopted mother who is kind and loving dies, she is blamed for the crisis. She must flee for her safety, but when a young lover traps her...more

It was rather short to me, but one of the best books I have ever read..at first I was hoping that the ending would be romantic but to many clues hinted it would end tragically. It inspired me to read and to learn about wolves. Well written and the over all plot was good.

My dad retired last year and in looking through his files he found my Silent Sustained Reading Record from when I was in his class.
I thought it was interesting to see what I was reading back when I was 13!

No rating on this, because I don't remember it at all!

I like this book, despite it being sad that the main character could not find true peace and happiness among people. But it is a story about the freedom that comes from being able to make our own choices.

I *guess* I really liked this. I don't know, it was so short that it was hard to tell. I think I would have liked it a lot more if I hadn't been in the mood for a happy, romantic ending and then didn't get one.

One of the first books I loved. However, I think that the story was to short and hated the ending...but I'm a romantic.

I haven't read this in a long time, but it used to be my go-to book when I was a kid.

Sherryl Jordan's books have always been a "guilty" pleasure for me, by which I mean that her prose is not the most developed (it always seems a little too stiff and formal to me), but I get lost in her worlds and enjoy the ride. Wolf-Woman was a departure from the medieval-England-fantasy-type books of hers I've read, but I enjoyed the change in venues.

wow, this book was terrible. first of all, it should NOT have been written in the first person. it completely messed up the plot and added nothing. secondly, it moved really slowly. it also had accusations that made no sense even within the context of the book. it wasn't worth my time to read this, and i will be ridding myself of this book as soon as i can.

I liked this book up until the end. I feel she did not give Griban a chance to show her how her life could be in the right clan. I felt how torn she was between living with wolves that saw her as family or with a human clan that saw her as an enemy.
Brittany
Love it! It held my attention and was so realistic!

It was pretty good, but the ending wasn't what I would have chosen. I liked Gibran a lot, and the wolves were wonderful additions to the story.
Faith Fishcrazy
Sad. She also doesn't believe in clothes, and the author likes to describe her body.
