Recommends it for:
geeks, aspiring poets, fans of the sonnet
Sherrod is not Shakespeare, as she admits up front--but I'm not much of a Shakespeare fan anyway, to be honest, so I feel that comparing someone to the so-called Bard isn't much of a compliment in the first place. What Sherrod and Shakespeare have in common is a technical skill. I've read enough amateur poetry, taken enough poetry composition classes, and tried my hand at enough sonneteering to realize that fourteen lines of iambic pentameter--especially fourteen lines every single day--is no si...more
