Fantastic story. This one has it all, Angels, Demons, romance, action, what more could a girl want?! It kept me reading right to the end. Can't wait for the next one.

The main conflict is fast-paced and engrossing, filled with plenty of action and suspense as we watch David and beautiful Guardian, Rebeka deal with their haunted pasts. And slowly fall in love. The author does an excellent job at imaginative world building with a humorous charisma that permeates the storyline. Lively characters and witty dialogue make for great pacing and a real page-turner.

It begins with an awesome plot. I'm a sucker for the plot where you a HOT, lonely guy, fighting evil yet searching for his mate. I liked this book, it had so much potential, but lacked in the romance dept. I felt some chemistry between these main characters, but it didn't fully bloom in the sex dept. I'm not sure if this was meant for teenagers or young kids, but the story involved "adult" characters and I felt the author babied the readers. I enjoyed this book thoroughly. I often found myself mentally screaming for the characters to "get on with it!" but in the "I NEED to know what happens next" kind of way, not the "nothing is happening" kind of way. Tension (both dramatic and sexual) from the beginning that carried throughout the novel.

I am surprised actually how much I liked it. I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads.
I personally believe that there is such a thing as too much action. This book was very fast paced. I felt like the fights become boring because they happened more often than not. I was more interested in the characters and the unfolding storyline.
However, the characters and storyline are absolutely brilliant. Those alone kept me glued to the pages of this book. I would definitely recommend it.

There were times I wanted more heat to the romance, but all-in-all it was steaming, but not flaming. Good story and a believable finish. Would recommend it to any one no matter the age. If you enjoy a good story and well developed charaters, this book is for you.
