This book starts off with a sad note, a suicide. Which leads three teenage girls wanting to investigate, Why would a popular boy kill himself? The more they dig the more trouble finds at least one of the girls Allison (Ali). And while that is all going on, the boy Ali has had a crush on since he arrived at school is suddenly paying lots of attention to her. I received this from the author and agreed to give an honest review, so here it goes. I have mixed feelings on this book. The beginning was a little drug out and hard to follow on certain aspects. It had all the components for a good paranormal mystery. How Tommy got involved with Dameon was a little unclear. Why did Ali feel so strong about getting involved in a death when she didn't know the guy? Things like that just didn't completely tie in for me Also, Dameon's role was extremely predictabl...more
I'll admit right off the bat that the only reason why I chose to read this is because it's about Angels. My nickname is Angel and well, yeah...I love Angels. You should see my collection.
To rip the band-aid off painlessly - There is some editing tweaks that should be done. A few typos and some grammatical errors that made my eyes twitch a bit and my fingers itch to fix the mistakes {Like when Dameon's name was spelled Daemon}.

This book started off with Ali and her friends investigating a suicide that they felt was really a murder and ends up getting Ali caught smack in the middle of a war between Angels and Demons. The murder investigation takes up a good quarter to one third of the book before any paranormal involvement really occurs. The book started with the death of a classmate, Tommy. People think it was a suicide, but that just doesn't make sense because TOmmy had things going for him and his life was pretty good, so Ali(the main Character) and her friends, Molly and Jennifer decide to find out what really happened to cause Tommy's death, but curiosity can be dangerous.

I was intrigued by the plot of this book at first, as I have a thing for books about angels and demons. I like to read different authors' take on the Paranormal theme, and this one seemed unique to me. I also like YA when written well, which sadly in this case, it was not. I will say that the story had a lot of potential and had tons of great ideas. For me, the problem was execution and style (which there was very little of).

This book totally rocked! full of twists and turns you find your self rootingf or both sides not knowing which side is good till the moment when you realize ur rooting for the wrong team. SHE SPEAKS TO ANGELS is an action packed story that keeps you wanting more. School is let out early due to a student jumping off the school roof and falling to the ground in front of Ali’s English class window. Is it murder? Will Ali ever get together with Dameon or will it be Kian? Dameon’s pull on Ali is a bit stronger then Kians at first and this leads to her almost being killed. Ms. Blackwelder keeps you on the edge of you seat waiting to find out what happens next.

My thoughts:
The author wove the story through the eyes of seventeen year old, Ali, the main character. This seemed to me completely ordinary and natural sounding. Our story is far from ordinary however quite inventive. This tale of angels is definitely a wild ride through the paranormal world. These characters must test their strength against the evils of the city.

Ali attends Millenium High School. One of the students has committed suicide and Ali wants to know why. But when she starts her search for the truth, she puts herself in danger. Dameon is taking notice to Ali but now so has another new student named Kian. What has Ali gotten herself into? Not only is her life in danger but so are those around her and who can she trust? If you like a story about Angels and Demons, this is the story for you. I enjoyed this story.
One of the things I really liked about this book was how it kept me guessing. I was so involved in this book, that I could not put it down. I enjoyed the whole story, with the twist and turns. After you get through the sad beginning, you will be impressed with the rest of the story written by Ami.
A different kind of angel story and a very great read. I enjoyed the quick pace of the read, it kept me till the very last page. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a very different paranormal story about angels and demons.

I loved a lot of things about this book, I was getting tired of all the angel books being about the same thing, so when I read this book i was a little hesitant. But Ami has added a few quirks to the typical angels. I will say at the start I found it a little hard to get into, I kept putting it down, but after I got to the middle I was hooked and didn't put it down until I was finished. I think it was a great read.

Not really sure about this book--keep finding weird jumps and slight inconsistencies. Characters seem kind of blah. We will see if I go back to it.
I loved this book she speaks to angels .It was a very good love story to boot. I would recommend this book to any readers who loves angel books and i loved and adored the ending of tnis book that it literally brought tears to my eyes.
I started this book but couldn't finish it. There were just too many mistakes and it was way to hard to figure out what was going on.
This was a good story. The story pulled me in closer to the end and I was glad that I finished it. I think the 2nd in the series will be great and I look forward to reading it.
