This book was quite emotion filled, mainly guilt, anger and hurt.
We know that Sam has been struggling after the death of his partner and has transferred from Vice to Homicide, but what we didn't know is his conflicting feelings towards his partner's wife Dallas.

He wanted her from the moment he met her but didn't do anything about it, she was married and then Brad died and things got all messed up, he felt guilty and then he and Dallas had sex and he felt more guilty as if he had wished
