A family wedding over the weekend should mean a few days of fun and friends...not ghosts and near death experiences. Emma isn't thrilled when she learns the hotel they are staying at has a history of supernatural visitors, but she doesn't believe in ghost, so what does it matter? Right? Her beliefs are quickly challenged with strange experiences and an inexplicable familiarity with the hotel.

Ghosts and time travel, the living and the dead, passion and love, this book has them all. Emma and her husband Zan go to a historical hotel for the occasion of Zan’s brother’s marriage.
The hotel in not a normal hotel. It’s filled with ghosts and an exciting past. Emma and Zan meet some of these ghosts in the present. Their family and friends are an interesting group and play important roles in the story. A psychic among them gives Em...more

I fell in love with this novel from the first chapter. It was so mysterious and intriguing and like nothing else I've ever read before. There were multiple storylines intertwined, but I never got lost and instead of interfering with each other they only added to the magic of this novel.

Ghosts, time travel, and enduring romance all come together to create this story of a "Night Journey."

This book was unputdownable. I was engrossed in it before I even finished the first chapter. The way that the author was able to capture the sights and sounds of a bygone era, while staying firmly rooted in the here and now allowed me as the reader the ability to time travel with the characters and feel the emotional roller coaster ride that they endure. Loving history as I do I found the historical facts scattered throughout the book brought believability and functionality to the story. As I re...more

A haunted hotel, ghosts, a quack doctor, evil entities, a secret society, an organs for sale conspiracy, a romance in the past and a loving couple in the present make for a great paranormal story that is not what we're used to being called a paranormal romance. It is a good old fashioned ghost story where the ghosts help the romance in the past so the loving couple can be in the present.
This is sort of like The Notebook with ghosts or better yet, The Shining meets Th...more

In the present day, Emma and Zan Fuller have arrived for the weekend at an old, majestic hotel near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Zan’s brother is getting married. Emma feels a strange sense of déjà vu upon arrival, and the feeling intensifies as the weekend progresses.

I really love ghost stories. And I really enjoy romance as well as suspense stories. So when I read the description of this book and saw it entailed all three genres, I couldn't crack it open quickly enough. And was not disappointed! The author did an amazing job of blending all the elements to keep the reader balanced between ghosts, love, and a ticking clock which happened to involve an internal organ. Yeah, sounds strange, but it works. The other bonus to this story is that it includes histor...more
I hand never read a ghost story in my life, even though I have always been an avid reader. Then I met Goldie Browning on "The Affiliated Authors" on LinkedIn and decided to buy her book and find out what a real ghost story is all about. Now I am an addict. I can't wait for her next book to be released. Goldie has the power to transform the reader to the mysterious world of the spirits. With her unique skill of story telling, she can even convert the non-believers into believing in life after dea...more
Night Journey was amazing. It is incredibly engrossing and I found myself on the edge of my seat for a lot of the book.
After reading the summary/description for Night Journey I was a tad surprised by the actual layout of the book. I personally, had thought the book would be a brief part with Emma having her accident and then the rest of the book would be a back and forth between the past and present. That, however, is not the case, the first part sets up the story of Zan and Emma and it just get...more

As a writer of mysteries and political thrillers, I tend to read in the genres I write, which means ghost stories, paranormal, and romance novels usually don't find a place on my bedside table. Goldie Browning has changed all that. I LOVED Night Journey. There's plenty of mystery and political machinations to satisfy the hard core like me. And the romance is delightful with just enough emotional intensity. I now realize, how could you not love ghosts in your story?
A suspenseful story, that has aspects of the paranormal, lovely romance and a dark sinister undertone. This book had me glued to it. Once I started it, I had to finish it, couldn't wait to see how it played out, to see if there was a HEA. And I learned some history about a fascinating hotel. A book that I would consider a keeper, to be read again and again.

I just this book a couple of weeks ago to review and I really enjoyed it. I definitely recommend this book as a good read. :)
Night Journey is a very engaging story that had me completely captivated. I enjoy fiction that weaves in true historical characters and events and this book didn’t disappoint me. Goldie’s exhaustive research was very well implemented and through all of the plot twists and turns she managed to close out every detail, not allowing any dangling parts in the story. I highly recommend this book.
The beginning of this book was a bit difficult to get through. But after that there were some very good parts and some average parts. Overall I liked the book well enough to finish it and I'm not even really a fan of ghost stories. I think they other did an admirable job and I'd recomend it and possibly read it again around halloween.

Goldie (Beth) Browning’s twisted imagination and fascination with the paranormal began in early childhood with her grandmother’s ghost stories and her brother’s retelling of classic fairy tales, such as Snow White and the Seven Little Frankensteins and Cinderacula. Almost every vacation she takes includes a stay at a haunted hotel or castle, as well as visits to famous cemeteries or catacombs. She...more
