Bethany is a typical 14 year old teenager, right? Well at least she seemed to think so until very recently. She has resorted to stay awake pills since falling asleep has been bringing her nightmares and these nightmares have been linear - meaning that the next nightmare is a continuation of the previous one. I loved this story! I have to admit I was pretty mad at where it ended, but that was only because the story is so good and I REALLY want to know what happens next. I won't give a summery of what it's about because it's so short, only about 68 pages on my computer e-reader and I don't want to ruin it for anyone. Bethany Cates is having weird dreams. Ones that play in her mind like a movie that she is the star of. Only in her dreams, she's not really herself. She's called Sarah and she's got some problems. Bethany has to find some answers, especially after the people from her dreams start showing up in real life. Those answers may be rooted in the history of Crest View, the new town she lives in, or even in the depths of herself.

I have read a handful of Richard's books and really a big fan of his stories. I found a lot of potential in this one as well, but it was the first time I felt that the shortness of it made me feel a little disconnected from the characters.
There is a lot of references to dreams that Bethany is having, but we are not really given enough information in my opinion to really grip the concept of what the whole dream sequences were really about when looking at the whole picture overall.

I'm not on who usually reads young-adult fiction, but I am glad I read this. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I could not put it down. My only complaint is that it ended so abruptly, right when it was getting to the good part! Great job Richard!

Richard Denney never disappoints with his novels.
The writing style of "Violet Fury" was great. Even though this was the first Richard Denney novel I read "in full", I have to read all of his books like right now! The writing was beautiful and full into depth. Not one time did I ever think to myself "I think he should have re-arranged that" or "I didn't like that part". I highly recommend you read "Violet Fury"!

Oh my how could I have forgotten to review it! LOL.
I Finished it a few days ago! Definitely an excellent fast read that I enjoyed. You can finish it in one sitting. It is the first in its series and I cannot wait to get my hands on the second! Wonderful, simply wonderful!
