1) Character Development: The characters in this book were fantastic! They were believable, relatable, and I was able to easily connect and sympathize with each of them. The two main characters are Gwen and Rob; they start out as a happily married couple, but after a devastating miscarriage and Rob's shocking revelation their dream life is left in shambles. I felt so bad for Gwen. It's one thing to have a miscarriage after so many years of trying (and so late in the pregnancy too), but to be bli...more

Angle of Incidence was a book that I wasn't sure what to expect of. The description was informative enough to make me want to read it, but not much more than that. So, when I started reading it, I was pleasantly surprised by both the story and character development, as well as the writing. I have read a few self-published books and what is most prominent about them was their rather obvious lack of proper revisions. While the writing was not perfect, it was definitely a lot better tha...more

Within the pages of Angle of Incidence you will find a compelling and heartbreaking story of love, loss and the struggle to find understanding and forgiveness. Hayes has masterfully crafted a story that deals with extremely difficult themes such as child loss and betrayal and she did it in a way that allowed the reader a front row view of the characters’ lives. This book was so raw and real that I did...more

This story feels like a true-life novel instead of made-up fiction. The storyline begins with the main characters, Gwen and Rob, living and loving as a wonderfully married couple, anticipating the birth of their first child after several years of trying to conceive. Gwen, being a professional photographer, is working at home when her world falls apart. She tragically loses their son, Michael, and the ability to even try again. Consumed with grief, she is also soon faced with secrets from her hus...more
4 1/2 stars. Story of the struggles a couple face after they lose their unborn baby and a new person from the past enters their life. It was a good story and got to hear many people's perspectives throughout the book. It was written in the 3rd person, which was alittle odd, and got a bit mushy at the end, but all in all, an excellent story.
Loved this book such true love and the struggles to keep a marrige together.
