The book title pretty much sums up the premise. ;D I read it in chunks, but also skipped around and read what was of interest, rather than reading 100%.

Some notable things though:
- The author is the former director of health in NYC public schools. Many of his experiences / views are based on what he saw and experienced there. A L.O.T. happens in public schools. Someone I know mentioned that her daughter's third grade class (in Oklahoma) talked non-stop about sex too. In this book, it's mentione

Straight talk for sure! The thought of having some of the talks described in this book is a little intimidating, but the author drives home the idea that the parent should be the main source of sexual education for their children. Our society is glutted with sexually charged images, dialogue, music, movies, tv, etc. Children are going to learn about sex one way or another. Who better to teach them the facts and values associated with such an important issue than their parents? By having these ...more

Dr. Fred Kaeser terbilang sex educator yang blak-blakan. Dia memberikan pilihan : apakah anda mau menjadi orang tua yang bisa dijadikan sumber informasi bagi anak? Atau memilih anak mencari info dari sumber lain?

Beberapa saran Dr. Fred menurut saya masuk akal, walau untuk kondisi di sini bisa jadi terlalu ekstrem. Yang jelas ybs memang berpengalaman terjun secara langsung sbg sex educator, langsung mendengar pertanyaan serta dinamika yang dialami anak-anak mengenai seksualitas.
