Jenna's been letting life pass her by as she works on her career. But, when she needs to do some research of this kissing kind, things may get a little more heated than she expected.
Research has never been so fun.

WARNING: This 11k short has no vampires, shape shifter or scorching sex, but it might make you snort your diet Coke out your nose.

Cute, short and quick read. Too short that if you make a review you can summarize the whole story in one paragraph. And I thought this is a prequel. Surprisingly, no.

Jenna is a writer who happens to be somewhat inexperienced in the art of kissing. Since her publisher expects a new plot for her main characters, she decided to make some research. To do the research, she and her friend Lisbeth went to a bar to meet a man who can make her relive her first kiss.

Cute and sweet romance novella (40+ pages) about Jenna, a shy wallflower who writes a YA novel series. When her agent tells her it's time for her main character to kiss a boy, Jenna panics. She's been on the shelf for so long she doesn't feel like she can adequately describe a first kiss. So her friend Lisbeth--one of those gorgeous friends who makes you feel like more of a ugly duckling--drags her out for a night on the town. Mission: find a guy to kiss.

Ahh, lo corto en la mejor parte, o sea.. o sea.. ¡QUIERO MÁS! SEGUNDA CITA, ¡ALGO!

Nooo, quiero maaaas. Ay Dios mío, estaba entreteniendome demasiado y de pronto dice: FIN.

Ay quiero más, lo juro. Me encanto Ben. Y Dane. Y Jenna, ay Jenna, la adoré en las poquitas páginas de este libro, y a su 'mejor amiga' Lisbeth... por favor, que alguien le diga al camión de la basura que se dejaron u

Ok I'm getting the the patter of it now, it seems the whole series is made up of short stories.

In a way it's interesting, because so far this series just describes the meeting of the couple or they how they got together, nothing afterwords. Always the story is depicted from the heroine's point of view, so no hero or narrator.

This one was less comical that the first one and even shorter, but yeah it's also a good book. even though they are short I'm really getting into this series, it's entertain

Super Cute!

I loved this one just as much the second time around. Jenna is a YA author and needs to do some research. The character she is writing needs to have her first kiss, problem is it's been so long since Jenna has had a first kiss she decides she needs to do some fieldwork to refresh her memory. This was such a fun read, sure it was short, but it was packed full of fun characters and great romance. Now that I've read the rest of the series, it's even more fun to revisit Jenna and Ben and
For a book that's so short and has no nakey times, this was fabulous! So cute and sweet, the author did a great job! I'd love there to be another look into their relationship as it progressed!

Cute, quick read.

I really liked Jenna, the mc in this novella. I would love to see it be developed a bit more, even as just a little bit longer novella if not a full length. It was a fun sweet read.

Jenna is a YA novelist and is told by her agent that if she wants to continue writing books in a series about a young high school girl then she better write in a first kiss scene for the character. Jenna isn't ready for her sweet, innocent character to have a kiss and yet she doesn't want to lose her

"I really didn't like him. I mean, good-looking and cocky go together so frequently it's basically a cliché, but he brought it to a whole new level."

I disliked the hero. I hate him 40 pages and that last speech (justifying the way he treated her) didn't do shit. He made her feel awful all the time!

Also, I liked Jenna but I'd like her to speak up and don't let that Lisbeth treat her so bad. I HATE toxic people

Cute, quick read. The problem with me reading short stories or novellas is I always want more!

I liked Jenna... she was sweet. I didn't like Lisbeth at all! She's just a shallow jerk. And to be honest I didn't know whether I liked Ben or not till the very end. But I did end up liking him. The more I wanted was to see Lisbeth put in her place.. maybe have Dane ditch her shortly after Jenna and Ben left. I also would've liked to see a little more Jenna and Ben before it ended. *sigh* I guess I'm j

Loved the ending!!! Want more Ben and Jenna! Hope they make appearances in the rest of the series?

Language: No profanity.

Drugs or alcohol: Part of the story occurs in a bar where martinis are ordered by the heroine's friend Lizbeth.

Sensuality content: Clean. Kissing only. The heroine's mean shallow selfish friend Lizbeth was a cringe worthy characterization of sexual innuendo never turned off during the story. Since there is some sexual innuendo, PG 13 for reading rating.

Second read: Feb 2015...just as great the second time around. Love it!

May 2014: I've been going through my Kindle trying to get through some of the books I've bought but haven't read...I saw this one was short so I started it last night--and finished it way too quickly! I thought this was such a cute story, but way too short! But that's the thing with novellas--they always leave me wanting more. :) But I loved the wit and Ms. Quinn's writing. Super fun read!

It's in His Kiss by Caitie Quinn is a charming little pleaser. Jenna ia a YA book writer. Her story involves a teenage character named Chloe in a series of books. Jenna 's agent Ely tells her the editor wants Chloe to experience a first kiss. Jenna is in a panic. She was burned in a relationship and doesn't think she can write romance. Jenna immediately calls her attractive, been around town friend Lisbeth, for advice. They agree to meet and Lisbeth takes her to a bar. Lisbeth dressed down but s ...more

Eeek! How can such a short story be so damn good?!

It was beyond cute. And so funny!

Jenna is a writer. She writes a YA series and her character is in serious need of her first kiss. The only problem is Jenna can’t write it. Why? Well, write about what you know they say. If only Jenna’s first kiss wasn’t one she’d like to forget.

What does she do? Call for backup. And backup comes in form of her extremely-good-loo

This is the best novella I’ve read in a long time! It’s In His Kiss by Caitie Quinn is the perfect quick read. It has fun, witty banter, sexy guys, sweet scenes and laugh out loud lines. My only complaint is that it’s not longer. I’m sure it would have been a bit much to keep this up in a full size novel, but it was over way too soon.

Jenna Jameson is nothing like her porn star counterpart. She is a writer of young adult books with very little personal experiences of her own. That’s why when her

This short romantic comedy took me about fifteen minutes to finish. It felt like I was watching an episode of one of my favorite sitcoms. It’s a delightful and sweet little novella that made me smile and brought on the warm and fuzzies. I would definitely read more of this author’s books!

If all books were as romantic and humorous as Caitie Quinn's, I'd be living in bliss.
Jenna and Ben deserves a full-length novel! These two are freakin' hilarious and I AM IN LOVE.
Rating: 3 stars

Jenna is an author of YA fiction. The main character in one of her books is ready to experience her first kiss. It has been a while since Jenna's first kiss, so with the encouragement of her sexy, popular friend Lisbeth, Jenna sets out to find herself a man. She wants to experience her own "first kiss" before writing about it convincingly.

I was really starting to enjoy this book when it ended abruptly. Argh! It was more of a very short story than a novella. Nevertheless, it was a

This was cute, but I was a little disappointed. Though this comes before Worth the Fall, I read WtF first and absolutely loved Jenna. I was excited to read the story of how she met her man. It's a fun read, but I was hoping for more in depth characterization for both of them, and felt like it stayed on the surface. I hope Quinn will write more of their story at some point.

I have found a new author to love! In her blurb for It's in His Kiss, Quinn warns, " might make you snort diet Coke out your nose." I took her at her word and kept my drink at a safe distance. Glad I did. This book was freaking hilarious! I sat and read and chuckled and then howled with laughter until I was gasping for breath and my sides were hurting...but I continued...I am such a masochist.

I blinked and this was over, such a quick read. Enjoyed it, but had trouble enjoying it because I was so angry the whole time about Jenna's worst-friend-ever, Lisbeth, being a total jerk. Everything else was nice, and honestly wasn't sure if Ben or Dane might like Jenna until the end.

Most frustrating story I read in a long time. 46 pages ??? It was so good I would have loved to read 300 more. I really hope for a full story by this author soon. I loved her voice, her sharp characters anf her witty humor. Jenna and Ben will be hard to forget !

Not much to this short book and to be honest, I wanted some more. I hear they continue this couples' story throughout the Brew Ha Ha series, but I wish I could just have it in a book. Or at least a wee bit more resolve :-)

Awesome first meeting

Beautifully written short story. The author managed to show the angst, dilemma, insight and humor in a flow. I could not put it down till I finished it. It had me laughing out loud and going through emotions of disappointment, frustration and hint of sadness. Love Jenna and Ben. Their chemistry is fun and the first kiss *swoon* My complain.. I want to see more of them and their relationship. Kudos to the author for writing it so brilliantly. Look forward to reading more book

PERFECTION in a novella.

I never thought I would give a novella 5 stars, but I just did. It is possible to achieve a perfect novella. Caitie Quinn just nailed it with this story.

- It wasn't instalovey.
- The chemistry was SO there.
- It had a full beginning, middle and end. (Although I desperately want more of their story!!)

I have a love/hate relationship with novellas. I love them because they are usually quick, fun reads. But hate them, because they are usually so short, and often leave you fe
