I had this book as a present from my French family. I had no single idea about the existence of this author like 2 weeks ago. But it was definetly something to read.

This book consists of 50 stories written by Buzzati and united in one book. He is looking at our everyday mortal thoughts, what is frightening us, what is occuping us ..

I had some very favorite stories which i find brilliant, original (and maybe less original but well written). These are:

The Creation
The Egg

Captivating short stories, filled with life's wisdom. Some stories area a bit corny (or simply childish ?), but if you can look past their naivete, all contain a little pearly of wisdom. Each story is also simply fun to read.

The narrator says the main character' life failed, but I don't agree with it. It depends on how to measure.
Raluca
One of my personal favorites. A fireworks of strange and extra-ordinary stories.
