Veronica has to get a date to her evil sister's wedding or she'll never hear the end of it, so she does what she never thought she'd do, hire and escort. Her co-worker directs her to V.A.M.P. Inc, and when she gets there she's guided to 8 coffins with pictures on top, she's about to bolt ( she's not into the Hollywood gimmick dating ) but gives the coffins a polite go to not upset the saleslady.

The picture of the guy in coffin three gets her blood pumping and she can't help but be drawn to the g...more

It is pure, fluffy, girly fun when you like books where a woman completely looses her mind when she in a proximity of a hot guy. And no, not loosing her mind because he is a vamp and has some powers over her but because she is so turned on that she can't think straight. Yeah rrrrrriiiiiiight! Oh, and the whole book (novella) is loaded with main character double guessing, trying to convince herself, just being not sure, constantly going on and on about how terrible her family was to her and sayin...more

This was a very light, easy read. I wish the story had been longer.

This is a quick, cute lunch time read sure to send you back to your desk with a smile on your face and a chuckle in your heart. This is not rocket science it is pure brain candy. Absolutely adorable.

Veronica Davis needs a date for her sister’s wedding. She comes from a judgmental family and dares not show up alone. A co-worker sends her to an escort service V.A.M.P. Inc. where you pick your date from a row of coffins in the agency's basement. Who knew they we really vampires. But heck maybe that...more

If you have ever had days when you're in need of a smile, for whatever reason, pick up one of Linda Thomas-Sundstrom's rarer lighthearted books. "Veronica and the Vampire," a 29,000 word novella, is full of fun, from the agency Veronica hits to hire herself a date, to the antics at the wedding she takes him to. Thomas-Sundstrom says on various book sites that this story is pure fluff, and as light as cotton-candy. Yep. And because of those things, this book sucked me right in.

Hi readers! My new novella "Veronica and the Vampire" is pure fluffy, "girly" fun. I've dedicated this book to everyone who has ever "dated" and remembers this process (fondly or otherwise). Maybe some of those dates seemed other-worldy, too? We just didn't know for sure who might show up?

ha.

I've packed this book with tons of good Karma for those of us who do remember those times, all too well...

I hope this just makes you smile.

It was a cute fluffy romance, nothing much more to say.

I liked the scenes where she dealt with her family, I wish there had been more, or that they had been more in-depth since since they were quite funny. I kind of wish that there had been more reason to the romance, but that's not what kind of book this was, but I enjoyed it none the less.

This was just the book I needed after a not to good weekend! It's a pick-me-up, put a smile on your face kind of book that has some fun loving characters (and one evil incarnate one, but you'll have to read it yourself to find out about that one) that draw you right in to their world. Don't miss this one!

sooooo cute! Read this in one night after finishing one of Thomas-Sundstrom's darker books. This is light and fun and not in any way serious. Just goofy. I wish there was another one.

Short, sweet, funny, and a great read on a cold night bundled up on the sofa with a warm blanket. This is a "feel good book" where you walk away with a little extra bounce in your step.

Good concept, but not executed well. It could have made a good book with the premise, but it was a short story and the main character was a little too easily distracted.
Alaina
Really, really good idea, but not enough happening.
Edie
This was short.
And odd.
But really quite fun.
Dara
It wasn't horrible...it just wasn't fully developed...
