I went to the actual exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery, in London last summer and really enjoyed it. Was most annoyed with myself for not getting this catalogue then. But found it reduced at this years exhibition and snapped it up. Am so glad I did because it explained the history of the competition and contained an interesting essay by Alison Weir, as well as the portraits from the exhibition. Nice. My only complaint is the book is a bit small. I like my pictures big!
