Rhonwen nenávidí Angličanov a najviac z nich Jaspera. Avšak problém je, že ju aj nesmierne priťahuje. Rhonwen behá po lese spolu s partiou kamarátov z detstva, ktorú vedie mladý Rhys ap Owain, ktorému práve Jasper zabil otca. Jeho túžbou je pomstiť sa a vyhnať Angličanov z Rosecliffu. Majú plán ako to urobiť, no všetko sa zamotá a Rhonwen si Jasper so sebou odvedie na Rosecliff. Tam podlieha túžbe a nevinnú Rhonwen zvedie... Zvyšok recenzie nájdete tu:
Enjoyed this one, although it took me a while to pick it up and stick with it past the first page. I knew it would be emotionally involving, which it was. I knew it would involve intrigue and betrayal, which it did. Thankfully I found myself in a less frivolous mood than I usually am and decided to reenter the story of Rosecliffe Castle, an English fortification in a newly conquored Wales.

I read this many years ago, I really liked it then. I still have to say it's pretty good. It helped the main characters name was Jasper, which is near and dear to my heart right now.
