Oh so very, very dated, and oh so very doomed. Written at the height of the uranium prospecting boom, it's chock-full of anecdotes about people -- ordinary fellers who never dug nothing before -- that discover URANIUM and become uraniumaires! (Seriously.)
It does have a lot of good information about public lands, and state-of-the-art survey equipment from 1954.
