I went with 4 stars since i loved the writing and the main character was sweet, but I didn't like the sex in this at all so it kinda ruined some of the story for me.

I also wish the two MC's were actually together more in the story. We know nothing about (rodeo guy, forgot name already) they had one date and didn’t really talk about anything and were in love

Those of you who have read a few Derek Adams' stories will know that he often writes main characters who are, to put it bluntly, as thick as two short planks. Nice to see a longer story from this author. Good to have a build-up of Trinity Blake, the main character, showing how he grew up, got brought out, then thrown out and ended up in Austin, dancing in a gay bar as a sort of go-go boy. He was a likeable sort and his developing, non-sexual relationship with his buddy Joey was fun to read. His encounter with Charlie Stover, the rodeo rider, was very hot and I liked the way it developed. Trinity's trip to the senator's house was strange, but very sexy ...more

The story had this fairy tale atmosphere. Trinity was really sweet, Innocent, naive guy. I liked him from the start and really felt protective toward him. The plot was easy and enjoyable, and the end, was just great...nice! I wouldn't mind reading more about this couple!

This was a sweet story with a sweet protagonist. I do wish it had been longer so we could see the relationship develop.
