It's a book that doesn't really hold up with time. Of course, very few contemporary romances do. I remember reading this when it came out an enjoying it greatly. Which probably explains why re-reading the story of Lily and Leo still enchanted me, just a little.
Leo is what we would call a forensic accountant in this day and age. Lily is the social secretary of Schuyler Kimball whose company is losing tens of millions of dollars every year. Leo eventually pinpoints Lilly as the culprit but it's n

I really wasn't sure what to think of this book at first. It did a lot of moving around and shifting of perspective, but once I got the hang of it I found it really interesting. I really liked Chloe very much and was gratified to see that in the end she got the father figures that she really needed. I wouldn't think that that would be too much of a spoiler… Anyway, the approach was really good although I thought some of the content was more graphic than what I generally prefer. The plot line tho ...more

This was a re-read and I still enjoyed Leo and Lily's story. There are four different viewpoints in this book, and that can get a bit confusing when switching, but overall an enjoyable (but not at all realistic) story.

What I enjoyed:
* Leo and Lily's flirting with each other.
* How Lily holds the Kimball family together.
* The idea that intelligence is sexy.
* The glimpse of the board at the end.

What could have been better:
* Very unrealistic as to how big business works, there is no way this could h

I trudged through this book. The only character with anything close to a complete and interesting story was Chloe. Both main couples' stories felt like they were skimmed over and that's what it made me feel like doing----skim through.

Also, I have to agree with Amanda about the breast feeding in the middle of a meeting. Ewww, inappropriate.

This is the 3rd time I've read "Her Man Friday," and enjoyed it just as much as the 1st time. Lily is multi-dimensional, likable, and fun. My kind of woman. Leo is the perfect hero, even if he's forced to put on a ruse (and tweed). If you like romance, you'll love this.

Fun book--one of the main characters is an accountant, which is what I'm studying for, so that made it even better.
Great book!

In my experience romance novels are very disposable; you read them once and then they're yard sale material.

This is one of the few I've re-read (for what that's worth).

How interesting!! A very nice book and that was because I didn't expect what happened with the problem that Leo had to solve...

Elizabeth Bevarly was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and earned her BA with honors in English from the University of Louisville in 1983. Although she can’t recall ever wanting to be anything but a novelist-oh, all right, she toyed briefly with becoming an archaeologist, until she realized how awful she looked in khaki and flannel, and there was a brief fling with the interior decorator th
