This is the second book in the "Mark of the Vampire" series. I didn't fall in love with the first book but it had a cliffhanger that I wanted to have resolved. Ms. Wright has created an interesting world for her vampires. She even provides a glossary of terms to describe them in their various roles and states of being. Therein lies the problem for me. It's a little too much going on.

We have purebloods which are vamps born of two purebloods. We have compounds that they live on called Credentis. T

Enjoying this series, continuing onto the next one!

I love Nicholas! I love Lucian too. Okay, I admit it, I love ALL the Roman brothers!

Yep, another book from Laura Wright that I thoroughly enjoyed!!! Man, I'm almost hoping for a book that I don't like these days!!! ;)

Ok, so this one is about Nicholas Roman, the middle Roman brother. He has a horrible history. See, there's this vampire drug and Nicholas' mother was addicted to it back in France in the 1800's or something. She was a whore and the drugs made her sicker and sicker. So one day, a customer comes to be serviced and she's too sick to do it so.... yeah.... she made her

Eternal Kiss is Kate and Nicholas’s book and while my favourite Roman brother is Luca, I found that I did enjoy this book! Nicholas is a tortured hero almost as much as Kate is a tortured heroine. His past has haunted him his entire existence and his reputation isn’t one that he likes to flaunt but can't escape.

Nevertheless, there are a lot of great things about Nicholas! My favourite thing though, is the fact that he is so loyal to his family. His willingness to

Wow what a great continuation of this series. When i bought these books i assumed it would be just another vampire series, but boy was i wrong. Ms. Wright has a fresh take on so many of the key parts of PRN--vampirisim, mating, supernatural powers and more.

This book was especially enjoyable because the issues facing the H/H were things that any human can relate to. Basically it breaks down to accepting a past you couldn't escape and making that past doesn't prevent you from reaching for a futur

This series is so good! I was a big fan of the 1st book in the series and the sequel does not disappoint. Kate, a Pureblood prisoner of the Order on work release, is caring for Ladd, child of a female vampire, when they both witness the murder of Ladd's mother. On her deathbed, she tells Kate that she must take Ladd to his true father, none other than Nicholas Roman. Kate and Nicholas have a volatile relationship from the start that turns into such a burning, consuming love. Nicholas has a past ...more

Great continuation in this series!

Well, I'd say this definitely out-shined the first book! Kick-ass H & H, both with their own personal baggage to overcome, great pairing. Lots of interesting twists & turns in this one. A very good set-up for the next book, which we have to wait until 2012 to read....:P

It's been so long since I read book 1 Eternal Hunger that I had a hard time keeping up at first. The problem with audiobooks is I don't have that handy vocabulary guide to help me out. Once I caught on to the lingo though this book was non stop twist, turns, action and hot steamyness! (The song Meeting in the Ladies Room has forever changed for me) It's a wonder smoke alarms and sprinklers were not going off when Nicholas and Kate are together. I loved both characters and how they came together ...more

Nicholas..... LeSigh!

Adored this book. Yes it still has the elements in it that the first book had and I didn't like. But there was so much more to this second book. My heart just broke for both Nicholas and Kate. Their pasts were both filled with things that no child should experience. They're both such strong kick ass characters with a heap of vulnerability underneath. But they don't let that wear them down. They see it as a fact, not a weakness, and they deal with it and move on with their e

This was even better then the 1st book. The characters are strong, determined, and hot as hell. I fell in love with Nicky. Damn what a vamp.
Kate is very likeable, her willingness to sacrifice herself for a young boy was really heart felt.
What's going to happen to Gray? I sure look forward to reading more of his story.
So Lucian's story is next and I am so looking forward to it. The teaser at the end of the book really has my interest peaked.
This read has it all; action, passion and hot, hot sex

I really liked Eternal Hunger, but this was better. There was a glossary at the front of the book of all the main terms used, but I didn't really need it this time. Would have been so much more useful in book one.
We got a little back story about Nicholas' past, but I would have liked a little more.
The world building was consistent and I enjoyed Ms Wrights take on vampires and how their laws work.
The secondary characters were all interesting, and now I can't wait for the next book about Lucian. D

I am really enjoying this series! It's a "darker" vampire series (in comparison to something like Sookie Stackhouse...which I categorize as "light") with well developed characters and an engaging plot. The plot of each book connects to the last, but each book follows the story of a different couple (the first three being the brothers).

This book contains two common PNR themes that I normally strongly dislike; a virgin heroine and a "mate bond"....however, I still loved this book!

While there is a

I said after reading Alexander's book that I felt this series had a lot of potential to become a favourite but this book blew all my expectations out of the water! I thought Nicky would be my least favourite brother but not any more! You can't help but be sucked in to his story. I liked the slight tease of how Laura is going to expand the series and the ending! My God the ending.... Can't wait for Luca's book :)

I truly thought this second couldn't be any better than the first, but if I could I'd rate it higher than 5 stars.

Nicholas broke my heart, made me smile....and then made me cry before he got his HEA.

Kate - like Sara before her, kicked ass. I adored the snarky, snippiness between her and Nicky. It had me giggle far too loudly on the bus.

The trouble is now I'm lost.... thirsty for the arrival of Lucian's book!

Perfect book..again! I will say that there was a few sections that were a little tough to read about his past but I do feel it was a necessary step. Mnay twists that I didn't see coming. Thought is was great. Love Kate and how she developed; love Nicky and who he became. Waiting until February for Luca's book is going to be brutal! Looking for a quick read that's also really addicted..this is it:)

I am now a fan of these brothers :)

Can't wait for Lucian's tale :)

This series has grabbed me from the beginning, now I am rolling on to experience this new world of vampires pure blood and impure blood. I am riding out the quest to make a new and better vampire world. A bombshell toward the end was a nice way to load one's reader into the next book.

Nickys book is very good!He is tall, dark and very sexy! This story is full of emotion and I love Lauras writing style. It is very poetic.:)
I feel that the Mark of the Vampire series is very fresh and enjoyable.
I really recommend this series for Paranormal Romance readers!

Let me just say that from the first chapter I was sucked into this book.

Kate, a vamp on probation, witnesses a murder and is left with a child that is not hers.
Nicholas Roman has a past he isn't proud of and a present he is hiding from even his family.

In trying to find the boys family, Kate reaches out to Nicholas who is anything buy willing to help. Kate is too perfect. Her face, her hair, her deep distrusting eyes. He wonders if she is a trap in the making.

I really enjoyed this story, Nichol

Eternal Kiss is book 2 in the Mark of the Vampire Series , by Laura Wright . I like those Roman brothers and their mates. Strong characters with horrible histories and vulnerabilities to shape who they are.

Ok, the steam factor contributed nicely to this adult book, and strong characters with compassion and determination made this book a better than the first, however this series should be read in order.

World building was very well done, and not only main characters, Nicky and Kate, carried t

I thought Alexander's story was gripping!? Nicky's grabs a hold and won't let go! I LOVE the Roman brothers!!
I've read this twice now, & will add a 3rd before the club meets in July. Soooooooooooo good!

Just a few notes: Better than book 1...darker, angsty, more of the world revealed and the backstories told ...GREAT BOOK...good narrator...a MUST read!

This book annoyed me in so many ways that even though I enjoyed it, I can't give it more than 3-stars.

The thing that bothered me the utmost was how supposedly powerful, scary, competent, and ruthless the Roman brothers were, how even the Order needed them to fight for them, and feared them, and yet they were totally fucking useless!! There wasn't a single scened in this book that I can think of that showed ANY of the three as being competent or capable. Just a bunch of bumbling idiots with viol

“Kate stared at the paven in the hall outside the door.He was incredibly tall and broad like Nicholas, but that's where the comparison ended. His jaw-length white hair was a stark contrast to his piercing light brown eyes and black lashes. And though he was alarmingly, almost shockingly good-looking,everything about him, every intake of breath, every movement of his gaze, his chin, his mouth fairly screamed hostility.Like an animal who'd been tortured over and over and knew only biting as a response to anyting.” 5 likes
