Oh wow....Kyle...Nikolai & Katrina...and all the secondary characters. I do hope Dina is working on more stories in this world with these characters!

The stories progress in order through time with Nikolai, Katrina, and Kyle along with addtional characters but all tied to at least one of these three characters. Dina James' dark, Destrati world is not the hot-chick-in-leather-pants, action-packed paranormal read so common these days. No, this collection of short stories (some previously published, others new) can be best appreciated while curled up somewhere comfortable with a glass of fine wine while classical music plays in the background. These stories ask the reader to think, to pay attention, to entertain philosophical and theological questions that may or may not have answers. There is romance, ye...more
I was not sure what to expect from this collection but was very pleasantly surprised by what I found in these pages. James has put together a well-developed world populated with complex characters, both likeable and not.
