Richard Woodman's study of 'Mutiny', sub-titled as a 'Brief History' begins in the early sixteenth century and covers events almost to the present day. It has to be said that the majority of these insurgencies focuses on English/British or American warships and merchantmen. Which has me wondering why we do not hear more of other maritime nations, such as the Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch or French sailing into troubled waters.
By far it is His/Her Majesties 'senior service' which is top of the poops

Richard Woodman was born in London in 1944. He became an indentured midshipman in cargo liners at 16 and has sailed in a variety of ships, serving from apprentice to captain. He remains a professional sailor and in 1978 won the Marine Society's Harmer Award.
