She's armed with a new attitude and a kick-ass wardrobe... By age twenty-eight, art historian Jade Fitzgerald has had a marriage from hell and an equally nasty divorce, worked hard to control her weight and her arrhythmia. The last thing she needs is another man messing with her head or shooting her heartbeat off course. That is exactly what she gets when an aloof and myst...more

Jade Fitzgerald has everything she thinks she needs in life. After a failed nasty marriage, struggling with her weight and a bad heart condition she finds her life as a Art Historian complete.

Vincent Knight is hot, handsome and mysterious. He has been there done that and has seen things maybe he shouldn’t have in his line of work, but he puts out that air about him that nothing fazes him. Vincent searches Jade out , she is nothing quite like he remembered, after a first brief – slightly heated...more

BOOK REVIEW DISCLAIMER
This review is my personal opinion and may contain spoilers, quotes, rants, emotions, cursing and a possible full on recap. I in no way want to ruin anyone’s book reading experience so please read this with caution.

28 year old Jade Fitzgerald is a feisty art history professor. She's a new version of herself ever since getting rid of her lying cheating husband. Former investigative journalist 34 year old Vince Knight has come to Jade in search of her mother Estelle in order...more

I finished Mine Until Dawn in a 24 hour period. I have never finished a 400 page book before in 1 day. That speaks to the incredible writing skills that Ms Walters has. I started the book at around 11 PM Friday and I literally went to bed Saturday morning at 7 AM and got up at 11 AM and went right back to reading. I finished around 11 PM Saturday night. Jade and Vince had me transfixed to my computer reading. It was the best money and time I have ever spent with a book. Just when I think Ms. Wal...more

After reading the first book in the Fitzgerald Family Series, “Slow Burn,” and absolutely loving it, and I meant it was fantastic, I was excited to get the chance to review this second book, and was not disappointed in the least! It started out the same, in that some hunky guy blasted into the life of the heroine, upending the world as she had made it. Ms. Walters has a way of creating some fantastic entanglements with touches of a history between the couple and loads of sexual tension present i...more

In my review for Slow Burn, the first book of this series, I predicted that Ms. Walters' writing and story telling would only get better with each book of the series, and I am pleased to say that I found this to be true for Mine Until Dawn. While I loved Slow Burn, I loved Mine Until Dawn even more.

In this book we are introduced to another Fitzgerald female, this time Jade. I adored Jade. She was so identifiable to me. I admire the way she moved forward from a disastrous failed marriage and weig...more

RECOMMENDED FOR: Fans of contemporary romance who like steam, mysterious but hunky guys, art history, and a side of murder and mystery

This second book in the Fitzgerald Family series is about Jade Fitzgerald. She has an arrhythmia, which makes her heart beat too quickly; when an attack hits, Jade passes out. Attacks usually occur whenever she's stressed or too excited. So her family tends to baby her, and they've tried to limit her activities and hover. Even though she's been on meds f...more

Mine Until Dawn is the second book in the Fitzgerald series. I really enjoyed Slow Burn and was looking forward to this one as well. I gave this book a 3.5 but reduced it to 3 after the ending. I was told that book 3 does not pick up with this couple but focuses on another.

While I gave this a lower rating than I normally do, I still enjoyed the storyline. The low rating was primarily due to all of the misspelled and grammatical errors. Couldn’t this author afford a better editor! I read this on...more

The first book I read by E.B. Walters was Slow Burn, the first novel in The Fitzgerald Family companion series. I wasn’t a big fan; I thought it was okay. Typically, that is when I would decide to quit reading a series. However, Mine Until Dawn, the second novel in The Fitzgerald Family companion series was recently available for free on amazon.com, so I decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, this novel wasn’t for me either.

“Mine Until Dawn” is book two in the Fitzgerald series. The Fitzgerald family is a close knit group with fierce love and devotion for each other.

Jade Fitzgerald has rebuilt her life. After growing up with a health condition and a failed marriage under her belt, she has chosen to take control of her life. Jade believes her life is complete. She doesn’t really give love a second thought. Not dismissing it completely, just not allowing it to take control of her life. When she thinks she is being h...more

The second novel in the Fitzgerald Family series, this one is just as great as the first. The reader will love how close and protective the Fitzgerald family members are of their kin. This novel isn't some cheesy love story, the main topic isn't necessarily romance. This book contains mystery, action, drama, romance, and even a little horror. Readers who prefer different types of genres will still enjoy this novel. The reader will pick up new vocabulary and facts concerning kung fu and China, sp...more

This book was more than enjoyable. I was hooked line and sinker from the first page. The story was intriguing, combine mystery with a bit of history, and I was a goner. It was a ton of fun trying to guess who the bad guys were (at least I love that part in a book :P )
Vince Knight is man on a mission to solve who stole a missing artifact. From the clues he has, that brings him to Jade Fitzgerald.
The characters had quite an attraction to each other from the start. They knew each other in high scho...more

I think I'm the minority here who thinks that Book 1 Slow Burn is better than Mine Until Dawn. This lacks the humor that I find in the previous book. This time the mystery is about a lost Mayan statue that belongs to Vince Knight's estranged father. He was summoned by his Aunt Della to help locate the statue, whom she believes was stolen by Jade's mother. Vince went in search for Jade, who used to be his high school mate for a short period of time. Thus, they then embroiled in the chaos and murd...more

After reading the first book in The Fitzgerald Family series, I fell in love. I love the dynamics of this family, how they are there for each other no matter what. I couldn’t wait to read the next book in the series and I’m glad I did. I loved Jade and Vince. I hope to read more about these two in future books of the series as well.

Jade has been sheltered all her life because of a health condition. Vince doesn’t want commitment, only to find what is missing. He wouldn’t mind a little action wit...more

All I know is that I am wishing I were born a Fitzgerald girl!!

After RWA in New York this year a lot of the authors that
have friended me on Facebook started adding other authors
that they had met. I added a bunch from their recommendations.
That's how I came upon this book from Ednah Walters. She was
asking others to review it at various sites.

"Mine Until Dawn' I saw the title and thought hmm maybe a
vampire book as they run the earth til dawn. ok i was wrong on
that one. Started reading it and it seemed like a Harlequin
romance novel but that didn't look right...more

Mine Until Dawn is the second book in "The Fitzgerald Family" series by Ednah Walters. I was really looking forward to Mine Until Dawn and I was not disappointed. Ms. Walters sends the reader on another exciting adventure of intrigue and, of course, romance. Boy, does the romance sizzle! This time around, Jade Fitzgerald is confronted by Vince about her mother's possible involvement in the theft of a family heirloom. The story takes off from there and doesn't slow down. Once again, I was kept gu...more

Art historian Jade Fitzgerald has had enough of overbearing men, her ex did quite a number on her self esteem and her arrhythmia has always been a glaring reminder of how weak others see her. Enter Vince Knight back into her life, in high school he was the bad boy who seemed to be making it a personal goal to sleep with every member of the cheer-leading squad, fortunately she was a book worm. Vince believes Jade's mother has stolen something precious to his family, a statue, and he wants it back...more

This was a fun and interesting read. I really enjoyed the new characters, seeing where the characters from the first book fit into this family and learning more about the world they inhabit. The change of characters from book to book keeps it fresh while widening the aperture so that we can see more of the world and the Fitzgerald family. Jade was a great character, I love a woman who learns from her mistakes. If a man takes advantage of you once, you're a fool to let it happen again. I adore a...more

Great story.I loved Jade in this story. She is one of my favorite heroines yet.She takes risks and isn't taking no for an answer from anybody.Even though she has a heart condition.Vince was a take charge never wanting anybody's help until Jade came along and he couldn't get her out of his system. It had lots of action in and out of the bedroom. Lol.More outside of the bedroom with all the fights and murders. The ending was perfect. Can't wait to read the next book in the series. I hope to read more...more

After sweating my way through SLOW BURN...the first book in The Fitzgerald Series, I did not think that anyone could compete with the fire and passion between Ashley and Ron. I was so wrong..THANK GOODNESS!!

Ednah Walters has done it again. She has taken an INCREDIBLE story, filled it with passion, excitement, mystery and life lessons.

Jade is on her way to repair her life after her divorce and keeping her health in check. She does not want or need anything messing up her new attitude on life. Whe...more

This is the second book in E. B. Walter's Fitzgerald Family Series. The first on was Slow Burn and it was absolutely GREAT! When I finished the first one I asked myself "Now how in the heck is E.B. going to top that in book two?" Well she did! I was shocked, but she topped Slow Burn! In Mine Until Dawn, Vince and Jade are completely overwhelming! I am suprised at everything the two of them go through in the course of the story but they stay strong. I will gladly say that the scare of a certain c...more

This is the second story in the Fitzgerald Family. The story revolves around Jade Fitzgerald. An art historian who has recently escaped a very controlling husband, and trying to find her place in the world.
On the quest to find a rare missing Mayan artifact Vince Knight contacts Jade for help. The both of them are old acquaintances from high school. Both are single and both are very stubborn, but they must work together in order to find this rare artifact to clear Jade's mother of any wrong doin...more

I enjoyed Book 1 in this series a lot but I struggled however, to find the same love for Mine Until Dawn.

The storyline was alright but I felt it lacked suspense, and moved rather slowly considering a twisted art collector had sicked his henchmen onto Jade and Vince.

Vince is great as a bad boy turned good bad boy!
But I just didn't connect with Jade and I found her a bit annoying.
There are some really great moments in this book and the sizzle between the sheets in undeniable, but I just wasn't 'f...more

Other than some editing errors, which I understand have been fixed in the 2nd edition, I loved this book. I love, love, loved Vince. He was so sexy and just overwhelming. Could I be Jade for a while? I loved how the title fit into the book. It gave me chills when he asked her to be his until dawn. WOW!!! I couldn't get enough. Then ending was a little abrupt but other than that I really enjoyed this book. I have read all but her most recent one and I'm about to start it. I can't wait... I love th...more

I write sensual Paranormal and contemporary romance. When not writing, I read. When not reading, I hang out with my family. When not with my family, I'm plotting and writing....it's a vicious cycle.
