I liked the way this book handled the heroine's past affair with the hero and her relationship with her late husband. In most of the Harlequin series books I've read, a deceased spouse is usually portrayed in a bad light (either they were a horrible person or someone using a sham marriage to hide a secret). I loved Danny from the very first book in this series. Danny and Abby were together 5 years ago when he used her to steal a painting of her grandmother. Abby has grown as a women in the last 5 years. She is much stronger now than she was 5 years ago. This time, she is willing to fight for the man she loves.

I really enjoyed seeing Danny grow as the series progressed. He and Abby both had to grow and change a bit to get to the point where they can be together. Abby and Dann
I wanted to like this book more, but for some reason I couldn't get into it. Maybe if I had read the two previous books I would have known the hero a little better and I would have enjoyed it more.
I don't know, but it fell a little flat to me.
