I love this cookbook, not only for the recipes (I highly recommend the bread pudding, queso and zucchini perini!), but also for the historical tid-bits laced throughout. However, if you haven't visited the Perini Ranch Steakhouse in Buffalo Gap, Texas, you should! I make it a point to go there every time I'm in the area. Do call ahead and make reservations though, especially on a weekend. You won't be disappointed!

Ever eaten at Perini's and loved it? YUMMY! Can't wait to tear into this cookbook of my favorite dishes! Hominy, Zucchini Perini, Whiskey Bread Pudding. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Plus a recipe for their Perini Rub.
