Political scientists who study elections have put some emphasis into developing models to predict the likely winner in advance of Election Day itself. This book represents one pretty good effort to do just that. And, upfront, it is worth noting that the types of prediction models in this volume--which had worked well before--did not work in 2000. Just a little tidbit to think about. . . .
