Ivy should be ecstatic that her formerly-dead boyfriend Tristan is back on earth with her, but the life of a fallen angel is never easy. Blech! That is the sum total of my opinion.
Not worth the time.
Not a good plot.
Not good characters.
Heck, not even a good romance and these two have fought through death itself to be together so the romance should be better than tepid, dontcha think?
This series was originally three books and while the ending was bittersweet, if a bit hurried, that ending worked. This feels very much like the old books were dusted off and it was decided that more money could be made from this series without reme...more

I really realy think that Elizabeth Chandler should've stuck to the first three books. It's true that the ending was bittersweet for those Tristan and Ivy fans, but it had the proper closure and everything was resolved. Evercrossed I found pretty interesting, although maybe too short. Elizabeth Chandler should've just merged Evercrossed with this one, then MAYBE then Everlasting could have been good.

Ivy is reunited with her true love, Tristan, but with a huge cost. Tristan is a fallen angel, tra...more

I loved this book, I feel like the author put more details and mystery to her book. I couldn't stop reading, I felt like I was litteraly in the book. I like how there was twists in the mysteries, when I thought that could be the victim, it would unravel into a different mystry every time I thought it was close to finding out who the murder is just kept going till the end.

I couldn't believe Tristian died, I started to cry. The romance in this story is intesnse how he came back for Ivy, just showe...more

I have been a fan of author Mary-Claire Helldorfer, who writers the Kissed By An Angel Series under the pseudonym Elizabeth Chandler, since I read the first book in the series. I was very much excited when I received an advanced copy of Everlasting to read since I had been unaware that the author was going to continue with Ivy and Tristan’s tale (I had thought the series was really a trilogy). I had also been unaware that...more

As always, Elizabeth has a way of captivating her readers with this wonderful story! However, I just hope that it won't take a few more books to see what is going to happened at the end of the series.

*Brief Summary*

After surviving a fatal car crash, Ivy is finally happy that Tristan is back in her life. Even though Tristan has come back to Ivy, he discovers he's a fallen angel and on top of that he's trapped in the body of a wanted murderer. Now they have to work together not only to help Tris...more

Personally, I feel that Everlasting was a fairly good book. It really popped up out of nowhere, which made it exciting to read. After I finished Soul mates I felt like the story wasn’t over, that something was still missing. This book really helped to wrap up the loose ends and answer all my questions.

However, I do think the book was a little cheesy. Tristan comes back to life to be in love with Ivy, pretty predictable. I think it would’ve been better if there was more of a twist. The book would...more

This is the fifth book in the Kissed by an Angel series and it opens immediately after the previous one. After surviving a near-fatal car crash this summer, teen Ivy is back at work at a Cape Cod inn with her best friends. Ivy’s boyfriend Tristan, who died a year ago, has returned to Earth as a fallen angel who is trapped inside the body of a wanted murderer, Luke McKenna. None of Ivy’s friends know that the guy they knew as Luke is really Tristan. All of Ivy’s friends warn her to stay away from...more

The Kissed by an Angel series overall is an absolute breathtaking gem. Elizabeth Chandler doesn't disappoint at all, with this fifth (third?) installment. This series just keeps on getting better and better and has become one of my fave ongoing series.

Surprising to say this but I miss Gregory much more after seeing what Bryan did. It felt like Bryan was just a shadow of Gregory in the evil/psychotic department. Btw I was pretty spot on about my hunch on Bryan and was glad it turned out to be tru...more

I really liked this book. I was struck by the fact that Ivy was with Will because i haven't read Kissed by an Angel in a while. Tristan being trapped in Luke's body and having to deal was a little bit too much of what I expected But I was very excited (and kind of scared) when beth showed signs of Gregory inside her. I recommend this book to whoever loves thrillers with a tang taste of love, pitty, sacrifice, and the feeling readers crave of not being able to put the book down!

This one disappointed me just as much as Evercrossed did, if not more! There was SO LITTLE action in this book. In all honesty, I’m ready for this series to be over. I’m one of those people who have to finish a series once I’ve started it, not matter how painful it is! Like in Evercrossed, it was painstakingly repetitive. They go to the beach, they work, etc. OH BUT IVY SNEAKS AROUND WITH THE SAME GUY FROM EVERCROSSED WHO’S SUPPOSED TO BE A MURDERER, but really isn’t because it’s not the guy the...more

In the story so far, Ivy's boyfriend had died but came back as a fallen angel who is put into the body of a murderer. Also, Ivy's step brother, one who had tried to kill here and succeed killing his own brother, was coming back to haunt Ivy and slowly kill her. He was coming back through her best friend. Several key pointers are given by the way her best friend acts. She became hostile towards everyone, and she had placed broken glass in Ivy's shoe just like the step br...more

Things have gotten so confusing! I feel like everyone is switching boyfriends too much! (view spoiler)[I knew the killer was Bryan! But I doubted it halfway through so it shocked me a little to see it really was. Chandler has a way of doing that to you ;P Also, where is Lacey during all this? Is she completing her mission or is she trying to stay away from Tristan since he could be turning into a Demon? I want to know! Chandler should have Lacey's point of view in the next book so we can find ou...more

Okay.. So lately for reasons unknown even to myself, I've taken to spotting book covers which feature identical images..
I know, I know I'm a freak..

But you know, just in case out there in the world somewhere someone's is like: 'Hey, I love finding matching covers, they're awesome!' (Which you know, I highly doubt but I guess you never know) then here you go:
Prom Night from Hell and Everlasting feature the same purty rose on her cover.. Yep, I do have too much free time..

End this series already. There is so much back story now the characters aren't the only ones dragging through mud once in a while. Finally Tristan focused on the loss of his parents. That part was moving, but look how many books it took to get there. Once again there are so many loose ends left hanging -no pun intended to Beth. I would love to recommend these books to my students, but I am afraid so few will stick it out to the end of the series, and where's the satisfaction in that? I hope the...more

This was the 5th book in the Kissed by an Angel series by Elizabeth Chandler. If you haven’t read the other books be warned this contains spoilers. But come on by book 5 you have to know the basic plot line gives away spoilers. So you’ve been warned.

Basically this book picks up where Evercrossed, left off. Tristan is alive. The catch is he’s in another persons body, one on the run from the law because he’s an accused murderer. Yikes right. Tristan broke the rules as an angel and now is unsure...more

Tristan has been brought back to life, and Ivy is more than thrilled with this. However, Tristan has possessed the body of a supposed criminal, and he is chased by both the police and the forces that are waiting to punish him for what he has done. Not only has he managed to bring himself back to life, but he also have revived Ivy with a kiss of life. This though-provoking novel will haunt you, just as Tristan has been doing to Ivy, Their love remains strong, but will they survive in the end. I h...more

I feel horrible only giving this 3 stars but in truth I believe the series should have ended after the third book. I think because the series gained in popularity that Chandler continued it. Honestly I am not happy with the way it is going. Tristan is dead and keeps coming back while leaving Will to want Ivy. I hate that! I cried when Tristan died originally but was happy Ivy was happy with Will. But nope. The series continues with the original lovers. Ahhh. I would recommend reading this, just...more

This fifth installment in the Kissed by an Angel series is another light, fast-paced read that is part love story, part whodunnit. Quite mild for a teen romance, there is almost no language (the word "b-tch" is used once) and only a bit of kissing. Ivy's friends like to party but Ivy is a kind-hearted and responsible girl who does not partake. Ivy's best friend Beth is haunted (literally) by the evil Gregory, who tried to kill Ivy when he was alive. Beth, controlled by Gregory, tries to... (clic...more

I couldn't even finish reading the book, it was that bad. Elizabeth Chandler should stick to what she writes best.. Young adult mundane romances.. Supernatural and paranormal romances are so not her forte..
True she did a good job with Kissed by an Angel , but the quality of her books just keeps on deteriorating as the series proceeds.
I had cried my eyes out when Tristan died in the first book. Now I could quite cheerfully clob him to death and enjoy doing so!

Everlasting was a rollercoaster ride of emotions with a bittersweet romance at its core.

It picks up after the dramatic conclusion of the previous book, with Tristan inside the body of a suspected murder. His ever loyal girlfriend, Ivy, struggles to keep up the pretences that she is as shocked as everyone else to find out what ‘Luke’ is capable of…and also to be glad he is out of her life. But in reality, she just wants to be reunited with the love of her life.

Danger is never far from Tristan and...more

I decided to read this book because I have kept up with the series so far, but I am about ready to throw in the towel. Nothing about this book was interesting or well written. There was so much that the author could have done with the plot she had, but it all turned out to be a let down. I feel like the series was complete about the first three books; there did not have to be two more. It was a struggle to even finish the book. What little events actually happened were lost in a sea of descripti...more

Synopsis
Realizing that Tristan is confined in the body of a murderer, Ivy must find evidence to prove him innocent so they can once again be together. In addition to this, Gregory has successfully conquered Beth's mind, manipulating her to do harmful things to Ivy. In the fifth book of the Kissed by an Angel series, readers who enjoyed the previous trilogy will definitely find Everlasting worth the read.

It was a really hard book to get into, the first book (the trilogy) was by far one of the best books I’ve read at the time, it was gripping and I could not put it down. The second book wasn’t as much, but it was bearable. It was almost forced, I was really excited about these books and I was really disappointed by them.
This story is really unrealistic compared to the first story about Ivy and Tristan and him being an angel. This was just crap. I mean so many deaths/ murders? I thought the book...more
