So... I blame it on the fact that I had a fever last three days. I felt like I was in the deepest pit of hell, I was cranky, it felt as if my lungs were on fire and I had a killer headache. So... as one of my girlfriends said, I needed something sappy.

Where to start? What I like or what I don't like? How I'm afraid of feminist wrath? Or how I'm torn between giving support to inde authors and wanting to strangle them for publishing their books in hurry without checking it out for, if necessary,...more

Though this was the fourth book I wrote, I have to say this book is by far my favorite so far. Collide will always be awesome to me because it was the very first book but Caleb and Maggie were the most fun to write. If I could have jumped in the book and married Caleb right then I would have :) I love characters with morals and real feelings, characters that have redeeming qualities and aren't just strange with a bristled demeanor but yet somehow everyone is drawn to them for it.
If I can have...more

3.5 Stars...This was a fun and interesting read. Maggie and Caleb are soul mates struggling with, but enamored by their newfound connection. At first, I was worried that their intensity would get suffocating. The fact that they were so in tune with each other was sweet, but their desperate need to be together or face agonizing circumstances was initially overwhelming. However, as the book progressed, I really became caught up in their sweet story and found myself rooting for them to overcome the...more

To sum it up: Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who's had a bad year. She was smart and on track but then her mom left, her dad is depressed, she's graduating, (barely) and her boyfriend of almost three years dumped her for a college football scholarship. Lately she thinks life is all about hanging on by a thread and is gripping tight with everything she has.

Then she meets Caleb. She saves his life and instantly knows there's something about him that...more

What do you say about a book that is completely and thoroughly enjoyable? I didn’t want it to end, but I couldn’t wait to get to the end so I could find out what happened.

I thought this book was pretty much perfect. I have no character complaints, I loved the plot, I loved the relationships (personal as well as familial), I loved Caleb and Maggie together, and I just loved Caleb. I could gush about Caleb forever, but I’ll leave that to Alyssa, who has posted a really great review of this book....more

You know that feeling when you start reading a book and you immediately know that you will love it. Well, that is exactly what happened to me when I started reading Significance. Considering that this is supposed to be categorized as YA paranormal genre, story was quite intense and it was mostly because of all those feelings Maggie and Caleb had for each other. I believe that deep down every single person wants to find his/her "significant", someone you can be completely in tune with, someone wh...more

Significance blew me away! I am a huge fan of Maggie and Caleb. They now, are one of my most favorite couples. There was such a beautiful connection between them, I didn't want their story to end. I actually tried to savor the last 100 pages and not devour them. This book is easily one that you can read really fast because it's that good.

Maggie Masters spent the the last year raising herself. Her mom took off and left Maggie and her father alone. Her father became catatonic. He was there, but w...more

This book deserves 5 HUGE STARS! Wow, this story was just so incredible and so full of love and devotion. I couldn’t get enough! Maggie is a seventeen year old girl who unfortunately, has had a bad senior year. Her mother walked out on her and her father, she’s doing poorly in school (in fact, she was barely able to graduate,) and her longtime boyfriend of three years dumped her for a football scholarship. Geez, what else could go wrong?! Maggie finds herself struggling to keep her life in contr

I have nothing personal against this book. In this case, it's more about the right book at the wrong time (in my life). When I was younger and still learning about love, I know I would have enjoyed Significance. Back before I realized that love means having equal but separate identities, I might have swooned a bit over a story in which a young man and woman find each other and can't stand to be apart. At the age I'm at now, I know that even in the best of relationships, there are times when you...more

IF YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW INSTA-LOVE...

You didn't. Not until you've read SIGNIFICANCE. This book is a perfect explanation to why I despise books on 'soulmates'. To me, you should not fall in true love within 48 hours as a 17 year old, soulmate or not.

...THAT'S THE COVER OF Onyx.

My rating obviously shows that I didn't like this book. Instead of using Goodreads as a site to vent my literary frustrations (which I know I've done before), I'm going to go over what I think could make this book better. I can't promise though that I won't get off track; books are always pretty personal to me.

As many, MANY people have already said, the editing is in need of some serious work. Incorrect verb tenses, subject changes when the subject hasn't changed, and sentences that simply don't...more

“Because you are my significant, my soul mate. And I'm yours.”

Shelly Crane sure does know how to make a girl happy and boy am I a happy girl because I’ve finally read this novel. I had wanted to read it for ages but you know how review books always take priority. Thankfully though, I got it for review and started it straight away and seriously and I mean seriously, Significance is one of them novels that will take your breath away from the moment you start reading it because it’s fast paced, in...more

I was really excited to read this book judging by the reviews from other readers. They were all correct! I could not put the book down! I found Maggie and Caleb so adorable together. I felt really bad for Kyle and Chad... must be nice to have 3 guys in love with you all at the same time!

Maggie was a cute character, I found her enjoyable to get to know. I read this book in a day! Excited to read book 2.

I’m going with 3.5 and after much deliberation about throwing the fourth star. I found myself skimming more than I have in any book lately. If I factor out the skimming it definitely would have made the fourth star on its own.

Maggie is seventeen and having a terrible senior year. Her mom leaves the family, her boyfriend dumps her and her dad goes catatonic over his wife leaving him. She meets Caleb by chance while on her way to go on a date with Caleb’s cousin Kyle and sparks literally fly. Cale...more

So first off let me state that I am a romance junky! Seriously, I love me some sappy love stories, I cry at those commercials where the Olympic athletes say "Thanks Mom" with old home movies and I cry at that coffee commercial (Maxwell House?) where the college kid surprises his family on Christmas morning by making coffee.

With that being said you can probably surmise that I really liked Significance because at it's core it is truly just a love story.

This book is about Maggie whom while once was...more

If you have enough of books where the female lead is torn between two guys, if you wanna scream your head off each time you hear the words "love triangle", and if you long for a sweet, burning, heart-fluttering love story, then this book is for you.

In the beginning, you might think that the story is too slow-paced. Two soulmates who find each other, one big family who welcomes the girl with open arms... Everything seems so perfect that you almost crave for the appearance of a very vicious villai...more

This was a good, very exciting and action packed book! I'm definitely going to read the next one that comes out later this month! I liked the idea of the book and while at times the mushy-ness got on my nerves I understand that the story has to work this way in order for the author to pull it off. I liked Caleb and Maggie, though I do wish there had been a bit more foundation to their relationship. It bothered me a little that Caleb was always so patient and selfless because typically 19 year ol...more

What a book. This book was something different in a great way.

What would you do if fate decided who your soul-mate would be? This story follows that path and Shelly Crane does a wonderful job making you believe every word she's written. The characters are well developed and well written. I can't say enough good things about this book or this series. It will not disappoint for paranormal romance lovers.

Everything about the story was believable and heartwarming. I'm just in love with Caleb but th...more

This book was yummy from beginning to end. The characters were unique and I pretty much loved every single one of them (Especially Caleb). I can't wait to see where book 2 takes them and hope that certain things I want to happen will come to pass ;) Thank you Ms. Shelly Crane for giving us books to love <3

I came across Significance, and the wonder that is Shelly Crane, on July 4th of this year. I had just discovered a new method of satisfying my obsession for reading by purchasing Amazon Kindle books for $0.99. SCORE!

What immediately drew me to Significance was the concept of "soul mates." Something that I hadn't come across before in any YA book. Seeing as how it was only $0.99 I figured I'd give it a shot. I love it when impulse purchases turn out to be a good thing! Let's list the reasons why...more

I already gave you some thoughts, but here's the whole review:

This week, I was speaking to a friend who recommended the book, Significance, by Shelly Crane. Ms. Crane had tweeted about reading Cornerstone and I'd heard so many good things about the Significance Series that I was glad I finally had a spare moment to read her work too.

Oh man...am I ever glad I did.

Let me start by saying that Significance is focused on the premise of Imprinting that we've recently seen in Twilight and that Signif...more

Crane builds an absolutely amazing love story and supernatural theme. Supernatural abilities, imprinting, total devotion, heartache, and family all thrown in to one! Caleb and Maggie are adorable together. Crane jumps right in to their story from the beginning, but the love story is not over-consuming and not always the forefront issue. Plenty of family to fill in, or to not, and plenty of adventure. Crane creates pain, describes it well, and solves the pain. So much to come out of this story, a...more

My Thoughts
WOAH! I did not expect this book to be that good but it was. The summary was good but I don't feel that just from that, you can tell how good the book is. So, don't judge a book on it's summary :). The pace of this book was amazing and I love how the characters are smart and know limits. Okay, so let's begin with these wonderful characters.

Maggie: Maggie was a smart teen and seemed to make all the right decisions. Her relationship with her dad was rocky at first but she stayed by his...more

I originally read this book in June but it has sort of been stuck in the back of my mind for a while now so I thought that I would re-read it and review it! I loved this book! It had action, romance and amazing characters! The characters really were amazing! Maggie Masters was the main character and I really liked...more

WOW! This is an AMAZING story. I got so caught up in it, I kept hiding from my responsibilities to read more! I could not get enough of Caleb and Maggie. I think this series so far is a tie with some other favorites of mine. I am totally hooked. You have to give this book a chance, you will get hooked, and want to read the rest in the series too. This is the first one too. I sure with Ace’s were real (its what Caleb is, and when...more

I originally read Significance in December 2011 and fell in love with the story line. Shelly Crane provides the reader with a new, unique take on the paranormal world that has me wanting more.

Let's start with the main characters. Maggie isn't your average seventeen year old girl. She graduated high school early after the worst year of her life; her mother left and her dad has abandoned all responsibility since. She is smart, caring, responsible, and...more

going to get Accordance NOW!!! It was so good!

You know those kind of books that you can read over-and-over again without getting tired of it? That is this book for me! I read this book in early December, and I had every intention of reviewing it then, but then my family came into town, and no book blogging happened during that time. Then a few days ago, I was really wanting to read a great love story, so I picked up Significance again and fell in love with Caleb all over again. The re-read was j...more

If you have not read this book you are missing out.
Really that's all there is to it.
But you don't have to feel left out.
Because there's this awesome remedy.
Read. This. Book.
Preferably right now because like I mentioned you are missing out if you haven't but tomorrow is acceptable if you need the time to clear your schedule--which you WILL need to do because you're not going to want to put this book down.
I won't go into the plotline of the book as you can read it yourself right above this but I h...more
