I think this is an important book, and I think Lydia Preston does a great job of showing the reader exactly what kinds of acne show up under what circumstances. Preston interviews a fair amount of skin professionals to display knowledge and expertise. I now know what to avoid at the counter and what to choose. How much to use and when. I'm also glad to know I'm not alone, and that this is such a common issue for thirty-year-old women.
if i could give this 2.5 stars i would. i learned some stuff, but it wasn't as interesting or useful as i'd hoped.
The only parts worth reading, I found, are the ones on benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid. Someone newly dealing with the world of adult acne might find it more interesting.
