I love guessing games and books about guessing things from clues given.

This non-fiction picture book by Laura Purdie Salas did not disappoint. I only guess wrong on one coat. A fun book with interesting looks at the many different coats people wear and their significance.

Illustrated by Amy Bailey Muehlenhardt, published by Picture Window Books.

This is a great book to work with pre-k to k and play a game about 'community workers'. So many books about community workers are point-and-tell 'this is a nurse, this is a doctor, this is a fireman, etc. This book's perspective is fresh and engaging. This book goes great with "Whose Tools are These?"
Miss Pippi the Librarian
An interactive non-fiction book that invited readers to guess who could wear a certain coat. Not all the answers are easy, so very little ones get a bit confused. An excellent book for preschoolers or kindergarteners.

Theme: coats/jackets
Additional themes: community helpers
