How do you relate to a man who doesn't want you to?
Josie Sergeant has learned one thing by carving out her living from the wilds of the Canadian perseverance, optimism and the willingness to do what has to be done can overcome even the harshest of obstacles. Life has taught Theo Sabich, a fellow rancher from Australia, that optimism is a fool's hope.
When their beloved siblings' impetuous marriage plans pit Josie and Theo against one another to defend their families, they find more than they bargain for. And when they start seeing each other as more than enemies, they face their greatest challenge - finding the courage to reach out for happiness.
Under the northern lights, their attraction ignites beyond their control... The trouble is a one-time "no strings attached" release of passion is easier said than done when love is hanging by a thread.

This is a great romance. He comes from Australia to stop his sister from marrying her brother. She opposes the wedding too, but resents him trying put her brother down. They are set to hate each other on site, but sparks immediately fly when they see each other across the airport when he arrives from down under. He can't believe she's really a rancher, she resents he wont take her seriously. He's convinced he's too old for her so he shouldn't let himself get too involved. It won't work because they each love and wont leave their ranches, which are thousands of miles apart. I really enjoyed this book as the tension built and there were real problems keeping them apart that had to be overcome.
Prepare yourselves for one of my more nonsensical reviews, mostly because my review consists of *squee!*. This story is adorable. And sigh-inducing. And aw-inducing. And did I mention I really loved it?
Sometimes, it's hard to put into words exactly why you loved a book. This one just had this neat little trifecta of awesomeness. A heroine you can't help but adore. A hero who's a little broken and a lot hot. A refreshing setting that I've not come across before.
I had the warm and fuzzies after I read this one. And I devoured it from the second I started. Anne Holly created characters I loved from first introduction, and I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to dive into this read.
