Clint... I like you and all... but, I just LOVE Gregory. Poor guy - it's OBVIOUS (wow, that looks odd in all caps) he loves Callie! Damn these books and the constant problems Callie finds herself facing! Just ONCE I'd like for something to happen the way it's supposed to... this better be an awesome freaking ending! :) Do we REALLY have to wait THAT LONG?! :(

I will admit, I don't like books like this. I didn't even ask for an ARC of it, Greenwillow just sent me one (THANKS!!). I haven't read the first two books, I didn't understand what was going on. I didn't like it enough to give it 3 stars, I was going to give it 2, but then I read the ending. And you know what I always say about the endings..

As I mentioned in book one it took me a while to keep allthe characters straight since they were all thrown at me all at once. However, soon I had the whole who'swho figured out and fell in love with book one, went onto book two and of course had to jump to this book without a moment's pause. Now, I am frustrated because I have to wait until DECEMBER. I am hooked. HOOKED. I can't say enough about this series. I absolutely LOVE the characters. I love that the book has everything from drama, to ro...more
This review is a collective review of books 1-3 of The Ivy Series.
Have you ever read so much paranormal fiction that it drives you insane and you CRAVE something new? Well, that's how I found the Ivy Series by Lauren Kunze. I just needed something different - something real almost!
The series is centred around Callie a bright bubbly girls from LA. We follow her through her life and freshman year at the prestiagious Harvard University.

Can you believe that I wasn’t even aware that this was already released. My cousin actually e-mailed me and told me to read this one right away cause she just read it and wanted to talk to me about it and “express her feelings” so I immediately started it and WOW (!!!) was it good.
After how book 2 ended I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen and whether Callie would choose Gregory or Clint. I’ve always been on Team Gregory because there was always a spark between Callie and him…even if n...more

Man, I love these books. The only thing that keeps them from getting five stars is that they are sometimes a little too predictable. Callie leaves her email open? You know that's going to come back and bite her in the butt later. Just when things start going well, you know Lexi is going to do something to ruin it. But, dang, they're fun! I am getting a little tired of the "whispering", "muttering" and the uhs, ers, ums...I know it's probably part of portraying how she often feels like a "fish ou...more
Sometimes I just want to yell at Callie like how some people yell "NO, don't go in there!" while watching a horror movie. After the cliffhanger from the second novel, I could not wait to find out who Callie would choose. Gregory has so much chemistry with Callie, but Clint is just too perfect to ignore.
Besides the love triangle that Callie is stuck in which makes this book so juicy to read, she also needs help with her other relationships. Lexi is still the evil ex-girlfriend who continues to ma...more

In the third installment of The Ivy series Callie and crew continue where we've left off. Gregory realizes the misunderstanding that has kept him and Callie apart, but it may be too late. Now that COMP is over and Callie was rejected from Fifteen Minutes (even after she slaved for editor Alexis Thorndike and broke up with too perfect Clint at Alexis' bequest) she just might get a new opportunity at the Harvard Crimson. At least if Grace Lee, the intrepid editor, has anything to say about it. But...more
There is one reason I'm giving this book 4 stars. The reason is that I'm intrigued. This was the most adventurous of the 3, and has me wondering what else Lauren Kunze has up her sleeve for Callie.
Although this series is very well written, and despite my intense dislike to the articles posted at the beginning of the chapters, I despise the heroine.
I can't to the life of me understand why a 19 yo girl, in college, pretty, athletic, smart, and all around balanced individual, will fine herself in t...more

I loved the previous two installments, but this one is really brilliant and perfectly written! I loved the plot, the pacing - everything! I felt from the first book, that the so-called perfect boy was a real jerk and I wasn't mistaken! I would be happy if the authors got rid of Alessandra in the next book - I can't like the girl, who can't remember the title of the book she was given as a gift and not by anybody, but by the boy she is supposed to love. I suspect, that the next book will hold lo...more
The Ivy: Rivals by Lauren Kunze and Rina Onur is the third book in the Ivy series. It picks up right where Secrets left off and if you remember how Secrets left off, you'll be very anxious to see how Rivals opens! But lo and behold (and I'm sure you aren't surprised) the drama is not over for Callie, Gregory and company.
Synopsis: Callie will face some of the toughest choices imaginable: in friendships, in loyalties, and in love. The pressure to pick a side—and a suitor—has never been higher. But...more

I finished reading this around 1 am and I was just disappointed and just DEVASTATED :( the re are many points that resulted to that feeling these include * Greg disappearing * Callie being in a comprising position AGAIN! * Lexi being her evil self has constructed another trap and disturbance! * and last is that the next book would be released next YEAR! and it would be a FEBRUARY! why ohhh do i find series that are not finished yet??? The book was awesome because somehow Callie now have a hindsi...more
Well... I'm ready for the next book! So where is it? Cliffhanger! Well this one definitely started getting more interesting. I'm excited for the next. The only thing I don't like about the series is the author makes you wait an excruciatingly long time to fulfill your expectations, and it doesn't help much that she rips them away soon afterward. It's gone past the point of exciting suspense to losing interest. However, I pushed through and the amount of pleasure gleaned is enough to get me throu...more

I'm not sure where this book rates in the series so far, because I absolutely love every single one of them. I'm not sure if I ever want this series to end.
I love Callie and her character growth since the first book has been amazing. I can't wait to see where she goes in the future.
I won't spoil you on what happens between the characters, but I love what happened...more

The events in Rivals, predictably, take place a few months after Secrets. Due to what happened at Harvard-Yale and the disastrous poison-pen note written for Vanessa, which was mistakenly thought (by Gregory) to be Callie's note to him saying that they were wrong for each other and she regretted every single moment. Ouch. What kind of guy could bounce back from a supposed rejection like that? Even playboy Greg was noticeably s...more

OH!!! MY!!!! GOSH!!!! OK, so I really liked Rivals, So Callie and Clint are together and I always thought that she belonged with Gregory, and then she and Clint would break up some how or another, you know like she would tell him that he's a nice and all just not the guy for her...and honestly I truely thought that about him he's a nice guy just not the guy for Callie. I never never never expected him to go from...and I'm paraphrasing Thorndike here...Saint to Sinner for a like a minute and stra...more
The love I feel for this series is ridiculous, really. The Ivy and Secrets were on my Top 10 Best Reads of 2011. And there I was with Rivals, thinking that the novelty will definitely wear off the 3d time around. Yeah well, that didn't happen. I'm glad, and in a weird way proud, to announce that Rivals was as awesome and amazing as its predecessors.

Hmmmm. My feelings about the book is neutral. Just.... meh. Still, I am thoroughly impressed with the authors' work! And *gasp* they used to go to Harvard (well I guessed that one from the looks of the legit infos they were disclosing about Harvard), were roommates and bestfriends and that some parts of the books were true!!!! Can you please enlighten us? You guys unceasingly amaze me :")

I love my guilty pleasures. The Ivy is like Gossip Girl, only far more interesting (depending on what stage in your life you are). I must say that Kunze and Onur know how to write an entertaining story with enough cat fights and drama to render you satisfied but not annoyed. Isn't that the perfect spot?
Callie Andrews has done nothing but screw up ever since she moved into the campus of Harvard. After hooking up with Gregory (Clint being non the wiser of course)...

Wow!
It is impossible to say I did not love this book because I did. I found it as an amazing break from reality into an exciting world of prestige, rivalries, friendships, fights and college education. I love the creative writing styles that the Kunze uses throughout the book; the magazine editorials, the text messages, the invitations and the emails.

I loved this book. I have become hooked on this series. I am so excited for the fourth installment to come out in February of this year (2013). I love all of the drama that seems to follow Callie Andrews around her college life. The ending left me on my seat and so impatient to buy the next installment and see how it all turns out. Find a day to read this when you have plenty of time, because you will not want to put it back down.
Is the series getting better? Didn't notice any huge writing flaws this time around, which is a plus! Can't believe I ever thought that Clint was the perfect guy for Callie, he had us all fooled! Not sure what I think of Gregory yet. Oh and Lexi is an annoying bitch who just can't seem to leave Callie alone. Have I ever mentioned how much I love Mimi? She is so cute!
btw. don't understand the point of the Pudding Social Club. What do they actually do?

The 3rd book in "The Ivy" series doesn't disappoint. Callie's adventures continue at Harvard and she is beginning to find that things aren't always what they seem. This series is so highly addictive that I have already pre-ordered the 4th book and am not so patiently waiting for it's release. The ending to this book was just cruel and unusual punishment to me as a reader. I am hoping for a happy ending for Callie, after all that she's been through it seems that she deserves some happiness in her...more
God dammit! Just when you think that everything will FINALLY work out just right, new problems are presented!
I love these books, but they are so freaking frustrating! ARGH! I'm going to start the fourth book RIGHT NOW, because with that cliffhanger, i'm ready to throw my iPad at the wall, if i dont just get the end soon!

I'm so team Gregory on this!
There is girl drama and boy drama. By now Callie is dating Clint, but still harboring some feelings for Gregory. Clint says he’s over Lexie, but has a problem saying no to her. Vanessa and Callie are still fighting over the note Vanessa read that was meant for Gregory. Yet these two girls sure do a lot of selfless and anonymous deeds for each other.

Lauren Kunze grew up in Piedmont, California and attended Harvard University where she majored in English literature and minored in neurobiology. After graduation, she deferred a masters program at the University of Oxford in order to finish her first novel, The Ivy, which was conceptualized in collaboration with best friend and former college roommate Rina Onur.
